I am fond of Icewind Dale, from the stories, and it's proximity to Luskan and Trollwood. It's a target rich environment. I don't care for Silverymoon so much.....but I'm still learning the FR setting.

Above ground, I am partial to the little towns and area of Longsaddle-Triboar-Red Larch-Westbridge. For a campaign I also created an assassins guild that is based in Yartar.
IMHO Alustriel and Silverymoon are over rated. :0

Mon, August 21, 2006 - 3:58 PMWaterdeep seems to offer one of the broadest ranges of things to do and character levels to abuse... I myself like Cormyr and the Dalelands although I no longer use the FR as my campaign setting. I got tired of everyone in the gaming group also having bouth the same books (or newer ones) and trying to tell me what I was doing wrong... I'm the DM here remember...? So I went throughA LOT of work and updated the old "Known World" of Mystara to 2.5 and I run my games there...
