This is a resource for anyone interested in privateers of the 16th century... particularly performers playing privateers at Renaissance Faires, etc.

I would like to examine the differences and similarities of a privateer to a pirate (which for my crew - changes from venue to venue)... letters of marque, costumes, armament, terminology, culture, timelines, history...

All ideas are welcome!
