Have you noticed all the lavender everywhere? Lavender saved my wool rugs from the moths... make sachets and hang them in your closet to save those wool sweaters and silk dresses!

How about the rosemary, or the edible flowers? :P

There are more goodies than just fruit to forage from public spaces!

    I also noticed lots of wild anise - even in empty lots or semi-wild fields... nice for baking or flavoring vodka :P
