Hi Dina and Desari - yes, it is an instructional DVD: a veil dance routine with a full breakdown of steps. It's sensual - totally fit for a romantic evening, bridal shower, birthday party etc. etc. any special occasion where a cute short dance with flashy props and a sexy twist can work. The routine is very elegant, but can be made naughty if needed! The video has the breakdown of steps used in the routine, the choreography instruction and a couple special sections: interacting with your audience + how to make a simple but impressive-looking bellydance costume.

Sarah explores the idea of the dance of 7 veils: she uses a couple of large veils with which you do classic veil bellydance, and she also has a few smaller scarf-like veils which cover her costume: sha takes them off one by one during the routine unveiling her costume (top, belt, harem pants).

We have just recorded another work by Sarah Skinner - a performance piece "Salome's Sin" for the upcoming "Fantasy Bellydance" performance DVD (early fall). This is a large group composition which also has a dance of 7 veils incorporated in it - different from the dance taught on the instructional "7 Veils" DVD. We hope to include the "Salome's Sin" as a bonus section on "7 Veils." The choreography for "Salome's Sin" was created by Sarah Skinner and Kazja (Kim - NYC) and the dancers are: Sarah Skinner as Salome, Tava, Kazja, Kelly, Sherene, Patrica, Tanya, and Melissa as Death.
