This is my testimonial after receiving my latest order from Desert Dancer Imports.
First of all, I was SO EXCITED to have picked up my package from the Post Office, and then waited patiently all day to get home from work and open it. The flair pants I ordered from Donna, made to a specific length, are beautiful, comfortable, flattering. The Overskirt is shiny and comfy as well. I've ordered flairs from her before and know that they will be hard-wearing and comfy not just the first time, but for a while.
But where Donna demonstrates the most outstanding customer service is in the special order she made for me. I sent her some tricky fabric, and she not only made me a luscious pair of pants, and a gorgeous Overskirt to match, but she insisted on refunding me money for a tiny, tiny glitch. Which is tiny.
I am just in awe of Donna's Mad Sewing Skillz, her costuming know-how... and her honesty, kindness, and forthrightness with her customers. This is "customer service" you don't find very often these days, especially with faceless "big box" stores and the like.
Donna, I was actually giggling and saying, "OOOOOOOHH!" out loud, which is very rare for me. They are all beautiful. Thank you so much.

Fri, February 15, 2008 - 4:13 PMOkay, I have a testimonial too. Christmas 06, I ordered a fabulous pair of fancy pants from Donna as a gift for my friend. Then I went out of town. What I didn't realize was that I had my old address on my paypal account. The pants went to the wrong place! As soon as Donna figured it out (my mistake now), she worked hard to contact me so the pants wouldn't be sent all the way back to her. But I was out of town so the pants were sent back to her anyway. Once I got the message, I called her and she sent the pants to my new address at no charge! Even though it cost her to send them twice. Even though it was my mistake. On top of that, they got here in time for Christmas. So with all the stuff she had going on for Christmas, she still managed to fix MY mistake and make sure I had those pants to give my friend for Christmas. I am still so grateful for that. I can't say enough good things about Donna. I have ordered lots of stuff from her and I have never been disappointed. I wish more people believed in that kind of customer service. I tell ya, it really did a lot for my faith in people. So grateful for you Donna!!! -

I started this business, as a single mom trying to make some extra $$ to pay for dance classes, selling hip scarves out of my dance bag to my fellow students. Then as an Instructor/Troupe Director/Studio Owner, the costume part of my business kind of made itself (we didn't have PayPal or internet sales back in those days). I will never forget the reaction of the women when they acquired some new "pretty", whether it was from me or from somewhere else. They were my "girls" and it's a great feeling to see them enjoying the costuming. I keep that in mind, that even though we have never met, you are all my "girls" *_* and I conduct my business as if you were in my studio. My local girls call me "MommaDonna" and I really like that. It's easy to be good to you, cause ya'll are all so good to me *_*!

I wore my green/blue Overskirt to class today with my black fringe flairs (which have held up through a lot of abuse! Still good as new) and I got so many compliments. Several people asked where I got it (and of course I told them). One dancer picked up the edge and commented on having the patience to sew the hem. ;)
