I am thinking about making velvet flair pants. Is this something people would be interested in? If so, what colors would you like to see? Would you prefer crushed or smooth velvet?

Speaking from the Pacific NorthWest, yes, velvet please! I like crushed as it's got more texture when you move.

Yay for velvet in MN, where we need awesome looking pants in warm fabrics for our cold winters...

I would think that if you use smooth velvet, as you move and dance the velvet would crush. Might as well skip the "middle dancer" and go straight for crushed velvet!

    being completely selfish...yes, please!

Any deep teal, blue, green, black. I don't wear many light colors, but darker ones would be great :)

Ditto to everything - deep jewel tones, dark brown, and patterns are my top picks!

I have enough monochromatic pants, so that's why I'm digging the idea of crushed velvet - a fabric that although without a pattern woven into or printed onto it, because of the nature of the fabric, the way the light will hit it breaks thing up a bit, something to catch the eye. ;-)

Yes I would be interest in crushed...the smooth velvet is a bit like velcro...remember they use a really short nub of velvet for a lint brush...
    Dark Jewel tones for me...
