Dear all members of the Designer’s guild/collective of the Ferries and Fools Fashion show,

I am sending out information on the event information regarding participation and arrangements, for both the show and the Market.

Information:

The Fashion show is allotted 30minutes for this extravaganza!

The show opens with Purple Niko running down from his coffee roaster to present the Paper Cup Song which leads into a call for help from the ferries and fools and forgotten fantasy forest folk. This leaves room for creative naming of your creatures being called forth.

With 9 designers this makes for a 3 minute piece per designer. I.e. half a song! Music will be provided by Margo on flute collaborating with Copper Chris on dulcimer, provided we get confirmation.

Our presenter will be, once again, Cody Chancellor. Due to his huge involvement and his schedule, He will be reading straight from a script. This is where you come in!

By now you may have a rough idea as to what your fashion is all about. As a designer, you must arrange your presentation/ models/ choreography and how you want to be called into the space as well as what the presenter/MC will be saying about your designs.

Remember this is your time to shine and promote yourself as well as your wears that you will have for sale at the Market. (Not necessarily what you will have in the show)

Some ideas to get the juices flowing: Creature name (possibly related to your design name, possibly researched from books about forest creatures.) Your design name. Your services. Your vision/mission. Information about each piece. Your model’s names. How you started designing clothing. Your future visions and projects.

The idea here is to continue the mission of promoting the Designer’s guild/collective, creating and seizing opportunities to present and market our individual talents, and being accessible for commissions and orders from the public.

All designer participants must participate in the market/ have items that will be for sale at the market.
We will be ordering tables as The Designer’s Collective and ask that each designer contributes at least $10 for space at the booths, the 10% commission, as well as volunteer an hour to manage the booth. The boot will be promoted throughout the show.

A schedule will be written prior to the event so you know which shift you will be responsible for. Please let us know your schedule during this day so we can work together on scheduling.

Hmmm, what else, I left my notes at the Boot this afternoon…

I suppose for now, please send in as much information that will be presented so as to be able to give both the MC and the musicians more than a week to work on their pieces.

Oh! And your Phone number… I particularly need Kelsey’s as she is the only one who’s number I do not have! That said, I’ll be calling you all in the next few days to make a personal connection.
