This is exactly why I don't read the news anymore. I didn't finish reading the article and still it will give me nightmares for years. Damn her black fucking soul to hell.

The state of Texas is not exactly the best place to be female, that is for sure - the state actually raised the age of legal consent from 10 to 12 ... wtf??? 12 ???? Don't even beging to ask about divorce or how that goes down there either; we're pretty progressive in California, and while I am in no way condoning this, the kind of depression they're talking about here is not exactly run-of-the-mill but it sure says a lot that Texas has such a crisis going on, don't you think? I mean really, what is going on in that state that women are so depressed and desperate that they see no way out of their situation but this horrible ending?
