Plus, if you go to a beauty supply store, you can buy a dye bottle with a longer tip than they provide in the home dye kits. Makes it way way easier to apply because you can use the tip for your 1 inch partings.

This is only somewhat related, but who knows, it may help...

A lot of goths (self included) *swear* by a Japanese hair dye manufactured by a company called Bigen.

It has no ammonia or peroxide or the carcinogens that are in American hair dye (and illegal to put in hair dye in Japan, as I understand).

It comes in different shades of brown, all the way to Gottthhhhh!! Black. It is gentle and it doesn't stink. It also doesn't stain skin as badly if you get it on your neck. It is easy to mix (mixes with water) and works in about 20 minutes.

You can find it at beauty supply stores in the (duh) hair dye section, and I recently discovered that Wal-Mart carries it, but they hide it in the section of various oils, conditioners, and stuff for Black people's hair (IE it isn't with the Revlon/Loreal hair dyes).

Oh, it also costs about half of what Revlon/LoReal hair dye costs.

Hey Rida! I remember when you asked me one time if my hair color was natural, lol. Damn, I wish it was naturally black, so I won't have to dye it. I don't know why it not naturally dark. My father used to have jet black hair, and my mom's hair was dark chesnut. My sister used to have dark-reddish brown hair and I got stuck with the ugly diarrhea colored brown. Grrrrr, lol.
