Beats Antinque, Brass Mezari (spelling), Pentaphobe. That being said, those musicians have been danced to death by everyone because the Indigo has danced to these folks.
My suggestion to you is getting on Itunes or your MP3 download site of your choice and sample music from a search of "Vaudville" "Circus" stuff like that and see what you come up with?

Re: Any Suggestions?
Thu, May 15, 2008 - 10:21 AMI enjoy dancing to songs no one else is using around me. So, I tend to search Emusic (PM me your email addy if you want an invite) and download the most recent stuff I can from the international section. There's plenty of stuff that could fit the bill there. Last night I downloaded "Baghdad Metal", for instance. Also, there's an album on there called "Doublemoon Women" which is all songs by Middle Eastern women living in France (including a somewhat jazzy remake of "Instanbul, pas Constantinople"). There's a lot of good stuff coming out of France with a Middle Eastern flavor, in general (since there's a a lot of ME immigrants there anyway). You'd want to check for translations before using anything, of course, especially since a lot of that stuff will have a political slant. For instance, Rachid Taha's "VoilĂ VoilĂ " sounds really cool, but from what I can get the gist of, it's about the way foreigners are treated in France. You probably wouldn't want to dance to something like that unless you were trying to send a message yourself. But he's also got a fun version of "Rock the Casbah".
For myself, I tend to search for ME pop released this year or last year since I know it hasn't gained enough popularity here to have been used to death already. If you're looking for some of the songs the Indigo has been using in the past couple of years, however, you can find those too, though. -
