Please send prayers, good vibes thoughts ect to her. Shes 19 and has a young son. She has a fractured elbow, a punctured lung, her pelvis is broken in two places and unspecified head trauma. Please also pray for my sister. We're one month short of 5 years since our dad died of almost the same injuries.

She was moved to a rehab center late last week. She may possibly have a broken ankle that they didn't catch before. She had a long surgery for her pelvis (it was actually broken in 3 places), and she got the chest tube taken out last week too. She got to see her son finally after being in the hospital for a week, he's only 2 and they wouldn't let him in the hospital. Shes doing a lot better, lots of hard work and rehab in the future.

It honestly a miracle shes alive, I saw some more pictures of her car, its like there was a shield around her, had my sister been in the passenger seat she would be dead, had her son been in the car seat he would have died.

Lesson for all: NEVER turn your wheels when your waiting to turn

I'm glad to hear she's on the mend. Thanks for updating us! I too was wondering how she was doing. Sending more healing vibes her way!

So true. My ex had to take a defensive driving course quite a few years ago and that was one thing he taught me that he learned from there. If you're waiting in a turn lane to make a left, keep your wheels straight until you can proceed with your turn. If someone rear-ends you, you'll be pushed straight. If your wheels are turned, you'll be pushed into oncoming traffic. That's bad.
