Just a reminder...

Of what we are often up against...

tribes.tribe.net/femaleff/...96035c3074

I was going to delete it, but I think it's actually rather humorous. Keeps me strong and focused. And giggling. If you don't agree, then please just don't read it.

I do, however, also think that it could open doors for many legitimate discussions.

Like it or not, there are those that will never accept us.

In the meantime, Cheers to us!

Well that's the truth. I'm not sure it's that funny but I defer to the wishes of our moderator...lol As far as them not accepting us they can get happy sitting on the low-end of a chief's desk in a few years and their discomfort will be my generous joy...lol

I will re-post my question on women's groups as soon as I wipe off some of the miasma that was coating it.

    Thanks Shantastic!

I have learned to find the humor in most things. I prefer to laugh than pout! :P

I'm thinking you'll make a great chief! And that's based on what I know of you, not your gender.

As for your thread, yes, please repost it. It is one of the posts I have wanted to respond to when I get a few moments for deep thought...

Well, thanks for everything. Confirm my hopes that we will not have to look forward to his posts on this forum again? I mean, there is so much to be hopeful for in this world and including being hopeful about the lottery and that my car tags will magically renew themselves...lol

My tribe settings are set to inform me of new members joining, so he won't be able to sneak in. I had to kick him off twice this morning, as he rejoined right after the first kicking. I don't want to moderated the tribe yet, as this is a turn off to some people. We'll see how it goes. If it becomes a problem, I will do what I have to do.

I've come to expect this kind of thing as typical so I don't get discouraged.
I don't recall getting personal with anyone here. In fact, I expressed that I thought you were nice people...right moderator?
But this has always been the MO for folks like yourselves when confronted with a valid however unpopular viewpoint...rather than debate the subject (especially when you know intuitively that you are wrong) you bash the harbinger.
I recall writing a letter to the army newspaper while stationed in Korea in which I stated my case against women in combat . To my utmost surprise they actually printed it with my name and unit. For weeks I recieved hate mail from people who wouldn't (or couldn't) prove me wrong, rather the general consensus was that I should be stripped of my rank and deported to another country for expressing such antiquated viewpoints...thought policing at it's finest. Apparently it was OK for me to devote 20 years of my life to defending all American citizens' right to free speech, but I didn't deserve to exercise the same.

            Moderator...you are HOT!

Well, that's good that you forge on in the face of unrelenting resistance. That seems to be working.

Interesting though this is, not really, a lone voice of petulant whining isn't at all persuasive and really isn't dissuading me either. Open-mindedness is not a weakness.

              Good luck to everyone.
