Hey Tribe--I am going to participate in the Scott Columbia Tower Stair Climb for Firefighters on March 4. 2007. 69 flights of stairs, 13,11 stairs total, 788 vertical feet, two tanks of air, 40 lbs of gear. All the money raised goes to support Leukemia and Lymphoma research and treatment. I'll post pictures here after the event, and will update the fundraising website [www.active.com/donate/ff07/AGrahn ] with training pictures. I train on the stairs at Fort Worden, on Port Townsend Bay. There are three women competing out of Jefferson County--and many many women at the event--many over 40 (I'm 47).
Words of wisdom, encouragement, training advice or donations to the L&L Society all appreciated.
Thank You
