<div>It has been a real joy to host 2 Tribal:Pura workshops for Carolena and Megha this year. Seeing both Pirkkala and Brussels gave a good insight on what is going on in Europe and how much it has gone aside from the real ATS - sometimes intentionally and sometimes by accident. And even more than before I'm convinced that the DVD alone is not sufficient tool for learning! It's great help after the workshop but only learning by that is not possible. <br/> <br/>Learning new movements with Megha was another booster and all that stuff that is taught on Vol. 7... The more you get the more you want/need and at the moment I try to figure out about traveling to UK next March and attend Majma Dancefestival. That would be another change to learn with C&amp;M again. <br/> <br/>Tribal style itself has so many different styles already that you can get crazy by trying to define it. For me it's not always clear what is what. Sometimes there is so much influences from many dance styles that it does not represent anything anymore. Bollywood or Bhangra danced in tribal kind of costume doesn't turn it in tribal. Especially I feel that professional entertainers should make the difference and be aware of the importance of costuming in the show. Much of what is called "tribal fusion" is actually "bellydance fusion". Or... confusion?! <br/> <br/>My decision is to keep ATS style. Fusion can be impressive and nice to watch but it's not my style. ATS was my first love and I want to develope my dance on that field. I wish it will take wind under the wings in Finland too. Movements itself were not new, but putting them together was new and challenging. It was nice to see I could follow and use those new movements with music immediately. <br/> <br/>Yamila is the most charming teacher. Guiding in calm and enlighted way she made us to believe in our possibilities with dance. This workshop made my own dance somehow more lively and gave me courage to put together different things. <div>Olisi mukavaa jos kenenkään osallistuminen ei olisi kielitaidosta kiinni. Tai kukaan ei olisi ulkona, koska ei puhu suomea. Miltä tuntuisi jos kirjoitettaisiin, jos mahdollista, kahdella kielellä viestit.
