Difficult Mars-Saturn & Depression

Hi all. This may or may not belong on a Mars in Capricorn tribe, as not everyone here necessarily has a difficult aspect to Saturn, but I decided to post it anyway, since Capricorn is ruled by Saturn. I myself have a square, and I found the article quite accurate.

I have a lot of headaches, and this woman I met recently who is a healer, told me that headache usually means frustration. This could very easily be true in my case, and much of the reason for my *controlled anger* mentioned in the other thread.

Mars conjunct, square, or opposing Saturn or Pluto

A blocked Mars results in a feeling of impotence and victimization. There is great unconscious rage which can express itself in a variety of ways including rage against oneself as well as the world outside. Difficult Mars aspects are known for being "accident prone". Migraine headaches and colitis may be health issues. Chronic depression is suspect when an individual feels a profound sense of impotence, frustration and rage, generated by the feeling that one has no capacity for choice, nor power over one's own life. Many people dissociate from this kind of deep depression and find escape routes such as compulsive work, large doses of TV, sex, alcohol or tranquillizers when the repressed blackness threatens to break through into conscious awareness.

How do you express anger?

Our Mars sign is supposed to be about the way we direct our hostility or anger; how we are aggressive.
How do you think Mars in Capricorn works for you in regards to anger?

Here's a description of Mars in EArth signs, and then specifically in Capricorn, from the book Person-to-Person Astrology:

Those with Mars in Earth signs found that anger made them tired. They did not enjoy expressing anger whatsoever, and suppressing it evidently took a lot of energy. They had a tendency to hold onto anger and grudges and to cut off people who provoked them to such "negative energy." IN general, they preferred not to be disturbed by others' behavior that provoked anger. Most did better under pressure and deadlines as far as energy efficiency and channeling anger were concerned. In other words, the group was evaluated to be a veritable bunch of potential workaholics who quite spontaneously sublimated anger into productivity.

Mars in Capricorn: Controlled anger is the keyword here, and rarely does Capricorn Mars really lose control of hostile feelings, at least not in public! But these people are very self-directed and goal-orietned, and they will patiently evaluate what may be a productive channel for that emotion, sometimes leading to a power play or authoritarian levelling of an enemy or competitor.

If I recall, Aleister Crowley had Mars in Capricorn around 23rd degree: chess, mountain climbing = Himalaya actually, riding a Tibetan goat. The tarot card is three of disks but in this case the XV.

Sex should be a simple matter for Mars in Capricorn Lovers. They are among the earthiest Lovers of the zodiac – people who identify the joy of sex directly with the body and make no apologies for their strong, erotic drives. These are practical, sometimes calculating, Lovers who go after physical satisfaction with an unbearable combination of relentlessness and raw lust. It'll be interesting to see how the transit of Pluto influences our Capricorn Mars'. I've done some searching, and here's an interpretation from Cafe Astrology:

~Your energy now is focused on and directed toward achievement with a drive that will either sweep away all obstacles or get you over them, making you something of a steamroller. One problem is that you are inclined now to push yourself too hard, not stopping even when you are tired. This undisciplined approach may exhaust you to the point where you are forced by troublesome circumstances or failing health to stop. A more disciplined approach will help you conserve your energy and accomplish much. At both work and home, 1ook for new and more efficient methods of getting the job done. By stressing expedience now, you can set up a routine that continues this focused use of energy into the future. ~

*Your ambition and drive to succeed are incredibly strong now. You will go to any lengths to achieve your goals, and you have the energy to do it. You are driven by a compulsive need to achieve, and you often find it difficult to stop.

+Be careful that you don't become some sort of speed demon, for intense (passionate) feelings and drive will be at your command for a good long time. You could find yourself driven to dig and search deep within the human passions, deep in the psyche.

For me, this might happen during my Saturn return, which I think is going to happen some time in 2010. Or maybe this transit comes a little later than my Saturn return. Either way, it sounds interesting.

Unaspected Mars in Capricorn

Hey everyone,

I'm new to this tribe all along with my unaspected (no major aspects at least) Mars in Capricorn : )
I'm Scorpio with Gemini rising.

My Mars is located at the cusp of the 8th house in 11Cap. It rules the intercepted 11th house and my entire Scorpio stellium (along with Pluto). I've read somewhere that unaspected planet act on it's own, since there are no barriers. Since I have Mars, it is said that it seeks for activity, work, constant move, energy and so. But it can happen to be totally opposite - which I'm experiencing. Passiveness. It is also been said that unaspected planet is like a screaming child - needs to be heard and not ignored, cause it carries a life lesson that needs to be learned.

Any thoughts?

Mars in Capricorn Mars is exalted in this sign. Antiochus says that this is because the god of war exalts in this place of death. (The steward of this sign - Saturn - is symbolized by the grim reaper). Most astrologers say that Mars is given the discipline it lacks by Saturn the taskmaster. The cosmic soul is said to perceive the actions of the native more clearly when in this sign, but this may be because Mars is in the 10th sign from Aries, its own domicile, thereby making it more visible cosmologically. For this reason, it is fortunate for getting ahead or becoming famous or well known, and seems to create ambition in the native. They have an intense drive, strong self discipline and self control and have a commanding presence. Quitting is not in their vocabulary. Its relationship to Saturn allows the native to be practical and coordinated in his/her efforts, sustaining them for the long haul.
