Tito was a funny kind of a bird. In a way he was a plain boring old grey brown bird with no particular feature. He could travel in a crowd and not be noticed, but in fact he was a different kind of a bird. He was a bird detective.

Along his travels he had come to correspond with a group of friends, all artisit creatures and in this way very different from him. All were kind and fun loving and all very interesting. One day it was decided that all of this group of friends, but yet strangers, were going to meet in June in Blatimore in a cottage by the water.
And this is how Tito found himself in Blatimore, a place where he had never been before.

........And this is how Tito found himself in Blatimore, a place where he had never been before.......

The cottage was a lovely place with floor to ceiling windows on two sides. One side facing the ocean and one side facing an empty lot which was half unpaved parking lot and half grass with a large gazebo like structure clearly for piknik or things of the sort.
On the left hand side of the cottage was a nice house with a fancy garden all decorated with a row of plastic swans in the front siting there as if they were guarding the lawn and preventing the invasion of the lovely green grass by the sandy salty water of the ocean..this of course and the ancestral looking horse shoe crabs!

The friends were delighted to finally meet each other and as they were coming from far away places and had travel long and far to see each other the exchange of news, presents and even hugs for some of them was a pleasant affair that lasted well into the first night.

There was lots to say and lots to do. Since the trip was a trip of pirates and they were in Blatimore (a city on the west coast of Africa know for its history rich in sailing, tall ship building and its baseball team) a couple of plans were centered around tall ships.
The chance for all the friends to visit a local tall ship was soon organized and they all jumped in black limousines (they did like to travel in style) to go to the harbor where the ship was anchored. The harbor was a busy place with restaurant galores, shops, museums and a great big old building turned into a book store.
