<div>i work in mental health, and i just had a thought, its not super pleasent but its worth a shot. <br/>around 18 years of age people who are predisposed to schizophernia often times have their first psychotic break and it can be a big one that can last a long time and can mean very long term treatment in a mental health fascility. If some one does not have ID or any personal info or is psychotic and confused they may not be in the place to communicate who they are or who their family is for some time. Mental health fascilities also have with adults clause that does not allow them to release information evento family letting some one know that they are intitutionalized, it would be against HIPPA for them to do so. many times there is alot of stigma associated with mental illness as well and people are embarassed to contact family even when they begin to clear, especially if there is paranioa involved in their symptoms. <br/>it would be possible how ever to contact utahs and the surrounding states mental health fascilities and tell them that your son has been missing for this long of a period of time, that he has ADD and a past history of head trauma. tell them that your son has been missing there may be anough people out there that are willing enough to help a family out and bend the rules a bit. its worth a shot. <br/>often times what happens when a family member calls is the patient will be notified and asked if they want their information to be released to the family member, the family member is then placed on a release of information or ROI sheet and allows to communicate with the patient. It could be worth your time to call every one of them and just assume that hes there and ask if you can speak with him even. <br/>its a possibility that with chris's past head trauma and ADD that there is a potential for organic schizophernia to have developed, its not a happy thought but happier then the alternatives. <br/>if this has not allready crossed your mind, its worth while exploring. <div>I've been frustrated by not being able to participate in the fundraising drive through this tribe. There are no goods, services or artwork currently being offered that I need, want or can afford. I've been racking my brain to come up with some ideas for some service (or goods) that I could offer. So far, I haven't been able to think of anything on that end either. <br/> <br/>So, just now, I went to the findchris.org website to make a donation. When I attempted to use the Google checkout featured on the website, I landed on an ERROR page that said, "Oops! Unfortunately, this merchant no longer accepts payments through Google. We apologize for the inconvenience." <br/> <br/>The website has message on it saying, "Currently, Donations to help find Chris may be made through Wells Fargo Bank, Chris Coan Donative Fund." However, this was meaningless to me. I wanted to make a quick, painless donation via the Internet. <br/> <br/>If there has been a PayPal account set up for donations, please either post the e-mail address or send the e-mail address to me by private message.
