Hey everyone,
I would like to wrap the grips of some of my tools in leather. Does anyone know if there's anyone out there who makes a self-adhesive grip tape about the same width as tennis racket or baseball bat grip tape?
I found some golfclub grips that I thought were exactly what I was looking for, and then I realized they came pre-assembled so that they just slid over the shaft of the club.
I really don't want to have to buy leather, cut it down, and adhere it myself, but will if it comes to that. Thanks in advance!

What I'm looking for specifically is a nice smooth brown leather. Most of the grip gape I've seen has patterns and holes in it. I want something that more looks like straight leather wrapped around. I might be asking too much, not sure. -

Re: Leather Grip Tape
Fri, March 27, 2009 - 3:01 PMhave you tried www.tandyleatherfactory.com/home....aspx ? more DIY but if you soak the leather after cutting it into strips it can be wrapped tightly and the finished off with thread. as the leather dries it shrinks so you might not even need to finish it off, so to speak.
not sure what's in boston but tandy does ship.
