Sat, April 4, 2009 - 11:00 PMSeveral groups in the US do iron casting, but there's no Tribe for it, yet. There's one in Oakland CA, but no formal name or web site. An East coast group has a post on u-tube, but again no site.
This is NOT like purse, or burning steel wool. That's molten iron. 2,000+ degrees f. (I love the organic fire suits these guys wear.)
Oddly, this is the 3rd connection with iron casting (dushuan) I've had in the last month. There's a picture (at my tribe page) from a newspaper article that I found several years ago, but though I left inquiries here and there, nobody responded. Now . . .
