I've been long in the hunt of finding a pai rof fire fans I like.
I have very small hands - child size really. In competitve sports, I have often used special order
child size version of adults. Due to this, I've had a hard time finding fans with a small enough grip
they feel comfortable (not unweild, lack of focal control) of the fans..and rings big enough to easily
slide my finger in/out but nothuge..

Any advice from other tiny handed fire spinners/dancers.

I've tried Khaos fans from Trick Concepts - they are the best I've found so far. I love
their size, and small grip base..but the ringers seem awkwardly located/too big.

In terms of my style:

For regular daytime/fun use I own a bright red pair of chinese dance fans... red with a 3"
little flutter fring - I love some of the opening closing moves, and a few more styllized traditional moves.
Then I have a pair of fangs with a 5' long tail.... which i've used in more graceful dance numbers.

I would recommend getting to a large fire arts festival like Wildfire (or Fire Drums if you get out here), and asking to borrow a number of fans there. Even if someone with "small hands" likes this fan or that, they may not jive properly with your style.

in the end, a few makers (mast at this point) are willing to do a custom job. I'm building a custom 'spider web' set right now that may end up on my site.

      Tedward,

Thanks, for the recommendation. I've been at Wildfire for about 4 seasons now (2 years) and the problem is I still
haven't really found a style that I've been able to work with smoothly. I've determined I like something smaller/lighter
for fast movement/easy manuverability given my dance style.

The other problem is I have particularly fallen in love with a the Chinese dance fance for all of hte mment which involve opening/closing
them with a simple flick of the wrist - little effort. I can only see that its diffcult to replicate in fire fan due to the material required
      in construct.
