If you have ever wanted to run away with the circus and still be home in time for dinner, here is your chance. NYCAA's contemporary circus arts training is an exhilarating, artistic and unique experience for people of all ages, fitness levels and body types. Trial Classes begin with an orientation to NYCAA and a brief history of contemporary circus arts. Participants are led in a group warm-up, then rotate through a variety of different exercises, including beginner material from NYCAA courses including Dynamic Acrobatics (tumbling, trampoline, vaulting), Aerial Acrobatics (vertical silk, static trapeze), AcroBalance (hand balancing, pyramids) and Juggling. With the assistance of NYCAA instructors, participants learn the fundamentals of circus skills as seen in Cirque du Soleil, in a safe, structured and fun environment. Trial classes end with a demonstration by NYCAA instructors and current students.

Trial Classes are conveniently located at NYCAA's 49th street Facility in Midtown, and are open to anyone interested in NYCAA courses.
Our initial plan was to bring the structure back for another week of flying, however our touring schedule on the east coast has made that impossible. As it turns out, several company members will not be in attendance, and the rest fly out the Friday morning before the burn for a performance in the Hamptons.

We apologize for getting hopes up, and wish everyone a fabulous burn. If you're interested in free aerial acrobatics classes outside of Burning Man, we offer them every six weeks in New York City. The schedule is available at fireflydance.com
