I ordered me some pantsies two weeks ago & haven't had them come in yet. I tried emailing a few days ago but haven't received a reply. I also looked over the site & couldn't find any info on shipping. I'm not in any rush but still curious how long it may take? thanks!

These pants are gorgeous-but they only go with one outfit I never really finished-and they do fit a little large on me. I have one shot in my profile from a performance...but I can take more if you need. They are a lovely neutral gold color with little tiny sparkles all over them...M32...
I would like to trade them for another set of specialty or melopheonix pants. Or some Firefly pants? I love brown tones-and olive green tones.

upcoming places we'll be and website news

Whew! August flew by and we'll be even busier in Sept. The 13th and 14th we'll be at the desert dance festival in san jose CA and then off to Las Vegas for the Lingerie show, right after flying to North Carolina for the Tribe Original festival the weekend of the 20th! and when we get back Folsom st fair onthe 28th in san francisco where we'll be debuting the new mens line...then just as soon as we can catch our breath the first weekend of Oct we're heading north to Arcata CA for the most kick ass of festivals, redwood coast!

Website News: Thanks all for the huge warmth over the new designs and beautiful pics! We'll be taking down dirty pirate soon as our stock is fast dwindling...the ruffled fly's are going like hot cakes! and a lot more new designs will be shot and posted when I have a moment in my schedule... probably before Oct 15th; and yes when new stuff goes up old stuff comes down... I know its only been up there for a month, but things are selling out a lot faster now that you can see them with the great new pics! Many thanks to all my beautiful models! and if you are in the bay area and interested in modeling for us, send me an email as we'll be doing a shoot before Sept 13th.

For you Firefly Fanciers: wanted to let you know that over the next three months we will be totally revamping our current line. What that means...most of the styles will be taken down and discontinued...lots of new styles will be added! So if you've been thinking about an item for a long time and would be bummed to see it disappear, snatch it up as even some of our most basic and newer styles will be gone forever! This will occur randomly (we dont know our schedule that well, sorry) and at different intervals until late August or early September. I know you all love the line but I have a new direction I want to take Firefly...

Tribe Fest Here we come!

Wow the amount of work it takes preparing for one of these things, whew! Just wanted to take a sec to tell you all the goodies were bringing and working so hard to get finished...we'll have a fair selection of dirty pirate just made because these babies fly out the door, also the new web pants and chaps featured on romka at spirit of the tribes, tie tops in black and web, ooodles of new fantastic panties (I mean oodles!) we ordered them from a company that makes the pretties but they run small ( a large is only a size 8:( but if you have a little butt you're significant other will adore us. Also we'll be bringing shoes direct from marocco! Georgous handmade beaded beauties my guy picked up on his last trip. The chihuahua of course! and myself, sure I forgot to mention something, but it'll be our biggest bundle ever so be sure to say HI, get a pet in, and check out the goodies.

Hello Nera, just wanted to thank you again! I was lucky enough to get a sleeveless tie top rushed to me just in time for a performance. I was so impressed with the quality that I ordered a pair of garter pants (not rushed, but I still received them quickly). I will be definitely wearing these pants to my next performance with the band. Your clothing line makes me feel sexy and comfy at the same time, that's something I never thought I could say when it came to bellydance clothing. :-D Thank you Nera!

Ok so ya heard we aren't goin' to all the events we did last year. Sorry and we'll miss seeing you, really! But we are so busy with the internet site orders that it is hard to find the time to get away. I guess all of ya at the festivals who said "oh I'll just order them online" weren't kidding! We will be at select shows with LOTS more items, like ooodle times as many, because you bitched, we heard it, and now stock is available in more styles and colors than we thought we could invest in (yeah!) and oh yeah shipments go out faster...

Thanks for making Firefly such a success...I know I get over-whelmed some times but I am still amazed when an order comes in. I just can't believe people like the designs so much:) Yet alone are spending a thousand dollars a pop for special occasions on just firefly for themselves! This business isn't easy; I am reminded right now as I need a tooth filling and it doesn't come with dental-
Sometimes it all balances out, other times you hear me vent, but I really do appreciate all you lovely dancers, fire spinners, people who care where there clothes come from, and lovely spirits who make my job possible.

Hello,
I am going to be in the miami area for a vacation Dec 5-11th. We are from San Francisco. I am writing to see if some women from that area would be interested in modeling for us. I figured miami would be full of places to inspire and that a photo shoot of the latest pieces from our line would be fun to do while we were there. My guys an amazing photographer (he does videos for a living). The pics would be posted on the website and used for promotions on flyer etc. I have used dancers and non-dancers as models, and dancers are amazingly better at positioning thier bodies and getting into/holding difficult poses, go figure! If you are a women (any size/age) who would like to participate please forward a recent snapshot and your sizes. We want everyone to feel safe and have fun! I can't afford to pay but will give each model a CD of her pictures and if you work extra hard we might exchange clothes for your efforts;) Thank you for your time,

Diets the modern day corset

Womens bodies has always been an issue with me as I design for them. I have a book that shows the ideal silhouettes for each year starting in 1913. We moved out of wearing corsets in the 1920's when a straight boyish figure became en vogue. Then there was the girdle after the depression. Now we have spanky's (footless smoothing tights), weight watchers, jenny craig, and every other fad diet that has sprung up since we figured out the calorie. I just think it is ironique that we cut calories to achieve a certain figure. The diet is the nodern day corset. It binds women to an unrealistic ideaology of what there bodies should be, and is just as bad for your health, takes up just as much time as tight lacing! I just wish we (women) could love and enjoy our bodies while spending time making positive changes in the world. I feel honored and blessed to make clothes for belly dancers and beyond! You are all such godesses...and I hope my clothes celebrate a womens body instead of making you feel confined to a certain image. Fly pants come in XS- XXL, not by accident! Love yourself!
