Supreme Court decision - trying to keep it!

Just copied this info from two friends' blogs... thought y'all would be interested in this (yes it is real!):

The office of Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger is polling reaction to the California Supreme Court decision overturning the ban on gay marriage. Most of the response they are getting is in OPPOSITION to the court action. If you want to make a difference, follow the instructions below. It's for real, it only takes about 30 seconds and you don't even have to speak.

IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT STATE YOU ARE FROM!!!

To vote in support of the Supreme Court's decision on same sex marriage:
1. Call 916-445-2841
2. press 1 (for English) or 2 (for Spanish)
3. press 5 (for hot issue topics)
4. press 1 (same sex marriage)
5. press 1 (for support)

As of this morning at 10:29 am this morning California Supreme Court has legalized gay marriage. Saying that marriage is the right of all people no matter their sexual preference. Finally a long time fight for our right to marry has come to an end. Today is a day for celebration and rejoice not only for the gay community but our supporters as well. The Governor has stated that he will uphold the supreme courts ruling about legalizing gay marriage.

Rough times

I cut this from a letter my dad sent to me. He's a prudent Kansas farm boy who is very consciouses of history , the US military, and international affairs. Anyway I felt it was good information and I wanted my near and dears to know it as well.

Dear Ladies; Start preparing for some rough times. I believe we are heading for a deep recession and it would be wise to prepare. There is no panic but just pay attention on whats happening, be aware.

1. Pay your bills down but better yet pay them off. If you don't need that new cell phone right now then hold off.
2. Start saving some money. Try to have and keep three months salary in your savings account. This is just in case your laid off you can still pay the rent.
3. Keep a good supply of food on stock. Can goods like vegetables, starch (potatoes), bagged rice, canned meats and fish are great
4. Keep you car gas tank at least half full at all times. In fact when we were overseas in Germany, I always kept the gas tank topped off. I never knew when we would have to evacuate. It's a habit I still use today because my fuel tank in my truck is always topped off.

I have heard that many trucking companies are going out of business due to high fuel prices. This may effect the food and fuel supply to many major cities. If there's shortages, there will be a rush for what is available in the stores and gas stations. Stables like milk, eggs and meats will be first to go. Again this is not to scare anyone but just to be prudent and be aware. Love ya all, miss you-TCOGinAFG-Dad, Tony

I want to be downtown!!!!!

I miss all of you sooooo much and since I've been staying with Amanda I've really been able to enjoy living downtown. Tasha and Paulie come back on Sunday and with their return I'll have to go back to Folsom. I REALLY don't want to go back there.

Good news: I found an apartment downtown (a perfect little studio that woud suit me and my kitties wonderfully). Here's the deal. I can move in right now if I can get $800 by next week. My funds are low right now cause I had to fix the clutch to my car and I'm slowly bring my funds back up. What I want to ask is if you (all my wonderful friends that I miss like crazy and you say you miss me too) woud help me out. In anyway possible! Every little bit helps. I get paid every week and I'm totally willing to pay anyone back for what they are willing to put in (if you are willing to help and give me at least a month if not a few weeks to pay back). Please help me. I want to stay here with my friends. I'm begging!

Lost kitty found her way home!!!

My baby girl, Mazzy, found her way home yesterday morning. My roommate frantically called me to tell me the good news. Tascha and I headed out to my place as soon as we could.
It was soo good to see her safe and sound and home again. I've learned my lesson. Today I got her microchipped and I bought her a tag with her name and my phone number on it.
She lost a little weight, but she's find over all. I missed her so much and so glad that she's home.

I'm not a great liar, but somehow she believed me when I said that Chris lost her job and that she's over at Butch and nellies with some of our friends consoling her. So I get her there, and asking about Chris. Seren tells her that shes in the bathroom. I gave it a minute or 2 seconds.
"So we lied about Chris so I can get you here for a reason." Got down on one knee said that we got to know each other here before we got together and so will ya? As I was taking out the ring.
Of course she had to give me a hard time about first. She showed the ring to Seren and then she turned with a big ol grin and said yes.

Still Seeking Ride to Redding

Hey everybody at the moment I am still currently look a ride to Redding and back the 16th of May for my Leads meeting to get my license for work. The original plan was that I would be offering gas money to anyone who would be willing to take me, as of now Tascha has agreed to let anyone from the fishbol crew and the people we know at hotpot use her prius that day. On top of which when I have the money I will take out the person that helps me to sushi or something to show my apreciation.
I will need to be there by 12:30.

Lost Kitty in midtown

My Mazzy decided to take a field trip to the outdoors and has not returned home. She was last seen between 27th and V Street on May 6, Sunday. She's a gray cat with a white spot on her chest that you can see. Her name is Mazzy. She's wearing a collar with happy faces all over it.

Anyone up for it? I'm thinking this summer over a weekend that I'm off. I already put in my vacation days for the year so the only way I can do this trip with anyone is my weekends off. So if anyone is interested in joining me that would be cool.

Go to http://www.greentortoise.com/yosemite.national.park.html. There's a 3 day trip and a 2 day trip. Three of the 3 day trips is over the weekend. I'd really like to do that one, but I'm cool with the 2 day ones. I hate having obligations for work, but somebody's gotta pay my bills.
