Hello and Welcome to The Churn!

Five Eyed Hand is still glowing from the CD release run with the Rex Foundation's Musical Caravan. The special guests who joined each show brought some raw energy to the night. Sam Flot the poet, Ichi Nagai on sax, and the one and only Daev Brown on vocals for Kielbasa Sausage, with all of them stepping up in Santa Cruz at the Crow’s Nest. Andrew Ferren from Gamelon X joined the band on saxophone at the Connecticut Yankee in SF, and Sam Flot spoke his word. At Lost on Main in Chico, Steve Hoffman played percussion, and Doug Stein of Swamp Zen added some improvised vocals! The band’s debut at SOhO in Santa Barbara included sit-ins by Poor Man’s Whiskey’s Simon Kurth on electric banjo and George Smeltz on drums. Five Eyed Hand is constantly evolving because of these collaborations, and you can look forward to more guest artists at upcoming performances and festivals.

Thank you to all who accommodated the band on that run. Your kindness really goes a long way. We had a great time!
