Tribe booting unhappy customers

Good thing the first amendment doesn't apply to private businesses.
  • How many new customers joined Tribe today because Mateo was booted? How many joined Friendster after the Fakester purge of 2003? How did MySpace turn Friendster's hatred of alts into a vehicle to pass Friendster in the social network race?
    • :-(

by deleting a loved leader like mateo, tribe.net/tou has merely galvanized my distrust of them and increased my lack of desire to write the content they need from me/us to keep this place running

(i love how his icon says 'unsubscribed' when it should say 'forced into silence')
      • Devils advocate view:

Mateo intentionally set out to get booted and succeded. He had been pushing the limits pretty hard for a long time but didn't get booted until he decided that's what he wanted to happen. He specifically asked them to boot him and they complied. And the extent he had to go to in order to accomplish his goal shows they aren't trigger happy.

But I like Mateo too. He's now over at www.free-association.net They're looking better and better (though still definately in the beta's) and I'm finding more and more tribers over there. Check them out if you haven't already...
