i am a mandolin/guitar /dobro player in Traverse City MI band 'SoulPatch'and when i was a child i was heavily influenced by the music of spanish master Carlos Sabicas, my father would play his record at night as i slept, to this day his scales are imprinted in my brain, altho i do not play flamenco per say, i use spanish scales all the time in our original music.

well, you're in with the right crowd here, michael.

however, just wanted to let you know that this tribe is designed specifically for flamenco in Vancouver, B.C., Canada. are you planning on visiting our fair city sometime, or are you just trying to stay connected with flamenco wherever you can?

there is a tribe for flamenco in general, called Duende: duende.tribe.net/ . it is a little quiet in there, but we could definitely breathe some new life into it.

    :)
