Flip Flotsam

Flip Flotsam
This is the beach
where the flip flops come
at the end of their
flip flop trip.

And where does a
flip flop trip begin?

the floor of a flip flop factory;
on the shelf of a flip flop shop;
or the foot of a flip flop fan?

And what snaps the strap
of each flip flop
that finds its flip flop fate?

a flip too far;
a flop too fast;
or a slip that
flapped it back?

And what does the sea say
when she sees another flip flop fall?

Oh, flip flop and flotsam
fair and foul,
I'll freely float you all!"?

OR ...

Do the waters, wavey and wide
curse each clutch of clutter
that comes on each tide
and storm up the sand
with curses that worsen
at each

beach-tripping
strap-snapping
flip-flopping person?

Apparently there is a beach in Mexico that is covered in solitary sandles of all shapes and sizes. A good friend told me about it. Piles and piles of them is what he said, so many infact that you might just think they were part of the beach. Must be some sort of prevailing tide or something, washing all these lost flip-flops up on this one beach. There must be others around the world. I'll will try and find out more, and let you know.

hey, when i was up in Rossland, i was walking down a trail in the forest, and out jumped these 2 giant flip flops, they attacked and almost bit me....lucky i was on my game and caught these wild beasts. There massive and purple, so if there yours, let me know so i can take them out of the cage in my basement and set them free to go back to their real home:) not sure if this really qualifies for this tribe, as they are still a healthy and vibrant pair:)

One day last fall we went for a ride to an ill fated bash. We didn't feel like dancing, so we stayed in the car. It took us 2 weeks to get home; by the time we arrived, I was forlorn.
Darling Left Boot- since you fell in that ditch, I've been one lonely bitch!!
