We envision Flowing Woman to be an East Coast "burning man" type of event. The major differences being a greater focus on nature and healing...healing for both the earth and ourselves. There will still be art and installations of all different kinds, but Flowing Woman will be a mostly "unplugged" event. How unplugged hasn't really established yet and we would welcome comments and collaboration. A certain amount of power is important, but we want people to really connect with the natural environment. We'd like for the event to be low cost...around $100 with plenty of work credits available for lower income folk. We've been offered a great piece of private land to hold the event..it's a little more than 2 hours north of Boston. It can hold roughly 500 people and some of the money that we make from the event could potentially go into clearing more land to make the event even bigger the following year if needed.
