Stealing folks land to add to the hundreds of acres I will inherent. I am a greedy material dynasty bitch. Who cares if he put his savings, heart and soul into it. Being a pretty whore I don't even have to work, and I should get a house or car out of each relationship with guys. If only we could eat the guys head off like praying mantis, so the sound of them screaming and complaining would be quited.

Johnny 2 Soon

with sorrow deeper than words can convey, I report the passing of a dear friend, Johnny T, on 22 FEB 2008. He leaves behind his loving wife Megan and 2 children, James and Evelynn, as well as so many of us who have known the intense warmth of his friendship. I don't know what else to say . . . it was an apparent heart attack . . . very sudden. Megan told me that his last day was joyful, in every sense --including particular expressions gratitude for having been blessed with such a lovely wife and children.
I don't know what plans are being made at the moment. Since I'm on another continent at the moment, I do know that I won't be there to participate in 3D. Megan and the kids are prominently featured in my prayers, as I hope they will be in yours.
What a gift, and what a loss!

i deleted the last thread posted by sunray. in trying to put a finger on the reason why, i can come up with only one answer: I made a subjective decision that both the title and the content showed extremely poor taste, enough so that even so tolerant a reader as john 2 ponies responded in shock and dismay.

i guess the lesson in this for me is to never say never. that being said, i offer my resignation as moderator of this tribe to anyone who wants it . . . unless more than one idiot does, in which case we can put the choice to a vote.

One thing I do not miss is towns in the south with more churches than schools or places of employment
With people God blessing everything and giving wieght to God and the bible, but hate gays, be against gay marraige, don't mind electing folks who create endless war and hardship, death, even torture, while only 10%percent of the New Orleans folks have thier homes back. We need the peaceful help the poor, into education guy back. Voting Conservative Christian is acualy killing our children and will cause generations to live in poverty and fear, without hope, employment or insurance.

See in my mind, tribe-net is cool to a degree, but having to choose between tribe and stumble upon net,
then having folks i like, have to sign up to view seems a limitation. It is amazing in so much as getting to
know folks new and old in much deeper way. Not totally home enough though. Does tribe like google claim to 'do no evil'?

Floyd County citizens asked to help Burmese

Floyd area homeschoolers are studying Nobel Peace Prize Laureates
and are learning about the 1991 prize winner, Aung San
Suu Kyi, who lives in Burma. Aung San Suu Kyi has been under house
arrest on and off for the past ten years. She has tried to help the
people of Burma bring democratic rule to their country. Burma is under
a military dictatorship and the Burmese people are needing help.
There is a clothing/shoe drive for the people of Burma.
Clothes and shoes are needed for all ages in Burma and the Burmese
refugees living in Thailand. Donation boxes will also be placed
around the town of Floyd as soon as there is permission from
businesses. The group could also use monetary donations to help with
shipping expenses. Any donations would be greatly appreciated.

Winter and hot solar water

Livng in the burbs its hard to fool with anything like you might want.

Just wonder how many folks heat hot water with the sun or woodstove.

To bad those Tulikivi Stoves did not catch on like they should have.

Does that lumber mill in town, that had the million dollar upgrade sell wood pellets local and cheap?

Does anyone use a stove that burns corn or wheat?

Only thing good about rising prices of energy, is making it worthwhile to try beating the system.

Is there still a source for polyproplene tanks or metal ones?

I built two solar shower. One at a camp where we simply elevated 30 gallon black tanks
above the shower area, and the water would be pretty nice temp each day. It was temporate
so no insulation needed. Another used an old refrigerator, removed doors, replace with glass
tilt towards sun. Close insulated door at night.

Last thought. Does bamboo ever burnable for heat?
