As the inaugural event and fundraiser for Burnt Oranges Inc., PreHeat was an overwhelming success. Not only were we able to give out $1,200 in art grants to participants at PreHeat, we also gave $522 in charitable donations, gave $3,116.73 to Maddox Ranch to help them start up Saddleback Trails (a riding program for the disabled), have money to set aside for an art grant fund, and seed money to conduct additional fundraisers. Fundraisers for what you may ask. Well, to support art and community. Burnt Oranges Inc. is a charitable organization whose mission is to fund large scale public interactive art as well as assist people with artistic talents by providing funding, administrative support, and forums for them to engage in and share their chosen craft. We are applying for 501(c)3 status, so in the future your donations will be tax deductable. In the meantime, here’s more detail on where all the money raised at PreHeat went.
