Re: Anyone Else Having a Flareup?
Fri, September 11, 2009 - 7:50 AMSince I last posted, I have found myself getting too cold inside my apartment. Been negotiating climate control with sig other. He gets hot too easily, I get cold too easily. I think that just getting a bit too cold in a room with an air conditioner blowing flared me up. Since then, when at home, I've been walking around in heavy layers and warm slippers. It's ludicrous, but if I don't do this, I feel a lot worse. To top it all off, I got too cold while sleeping last nite. I am fighting this flare because I have an all-day Art in the Park event tomorrow. Today, everything hurts, heavy fatigue and the allergies and digestive woes are full throttle on top of that! Dang change of seasons.... -

Re: Anyone Else Having a Flareup?
Fri, September 11, 2009 - 10:46 AMOh honey... that is harsh...I know M and I quibble about the temp... seems to be a couple thing. I tend to bundle up too...although in my house it's mostly me who keeps it no more than 68 in the house... he'd let me go higher...or would rather it even...but we simply can't afford the gas bill when we do... so...sweaters and scarves for all....
Speaking of which... my adopted mama, Shirley, gave me a bag of miss-match yard so that I could keep my hands busy crocheting... you wanna scarf...it's only red-heart brand..but a few washes softens it up.... lemme know... ;-0)
That goes for ya'll ... I can do a scarf in four hours... and it's fun...of course, they may be inside only scarves...she gave me some seriously bright, unmatched colors...pretty tho... -

Re: Anyone Else Having a Flareup?
Sat, September 12, 2009 - 11:00 AMMe? for scarves Rosy, or Fang..I'm so lost in "the fog" this morning... but yea, a miss-matched scarf trade could be fun...I whipped out a child sized one last night..out of the ravages of one skein...I may add a lighter version of the save variegated yard to the other side and make it miss-matched grown up size.
We're hitting up the dollar store and a few resale shops for more non Red-Heart yarns, like ribbon yarn... the red heart takes forever and a slew of washes to soften up....

Re: Anyone Else Having a Flareup?
Sun, September 13, 2009 - 11:04 AMI can't find any of my hooks except one... how odd...so my daughter's double skein scarf will have to wait, otherwise with my smaller hook I have, I think it's a J, the stitches are so tight it's more like a belt that a scarf!
Once I can walk again ...which means I can drive again, I'm gonna freecycle for some yarn... I will happily make a scarf for anyone who wants one... and then make some to donate back into my community... probably at the mission.
My pain is back up to a 10 after a really bad night...our humidity is up... some chance of sprinkling tonight...and up to 85 today, a low at about 50 last night... ergh.... ergh...ick....
hugs to all and happy crafting... sewing.... stitching... whichever... -
