Thought I'd check in. I haven't used the net for recovery before. Don't really know what to say. I've got a couple of years. I do service. I work the steps with my na sponce who works the steps with his na sponce. H & I is too cool. Life is worth living. I believe in the traditions and it bugs me when I hear anyone shut someone down of another fellowship cause they use the "wrong" language - check out the 3rd tradition. By the way, I have the best home group in the world

Yep all we have is what we have today. I have a big life today. Before I got clean, I had a little tiny life. Wake up, use, get more, use more, get more, use again, ect, then bed. Now I actually have friends, I contribute to society (instead of... well you know what I'm talking about), I have a family that talks to me, I actually have a job I like (most of the time) and they like me..thats big, you know this list goes on and on. I don't start every sentence with "I" as much as I used to, progress.
Anyway, I live in the hills west of Denver,CO. and I have a little over 3 years. I'm currently in Kauai, vacationing and have not made a meeting in 5 days. Not dodging, just very full days.
The way this deal works for me is that if I just work the steps with my sponcer and work with other addicts to find out who the fuck I am, I have to do service to get out of myself, and once or twice a month, I go down to the county jail for an H&I meeting - this is how I share was has been freely given to me. Oh ya, if I go to meetings and don't use between meetings, I stay clean.

Thu, December 28, 2006 - 4:31 PMHey there guys, I'm new here myself. To the Tribe that is. I've gone around the Sun a couple few times clean. You mention the "wrong language". Touchy issue in some home groups, and some whole areas for that matter. The language statement, around this region anyway, started at conventions to try to keep a pure NA message. Some home groups started using it a couple years after. There will always be the two factions, more or less, in the program. There is the purists on the one hand, and the program generalizers on the other. That is not a bad topic for my new blog about NA issues. See you guys around.
