De Dutch Gunner and a dangerous dueler.

Mykall Van Tromp, de Dutch Gunner:
diplomatic courier to my Prince Willem of Oranje, and Merchant captain dealing in luxury goods, also spice trader, having sailed as a young man with the Famous Van Loon expedition that took the Spice isles away from the Spanish.
And an International trade "middleman" also. My duties for my Prince take me all over the continent. Between interests in the Baltic, Atlantic and the Medd.
We have offices and Embassies in all The Hansa Prince's Capitals, and capital cities from the Far North Ice People the Finns castles made of huge logs, to the far South Morroccans, with their Islamic religion and its minerets calling out in the evening across the towns, and veiled dancing women who we found afterwards. - And embassies in most places in between.
Though sadly- no offices in Lisbon since the Spanish Invaded and seized it. Driving up the price of good Port. Medera Wine.
Naturally It is dificult to have dealings with the Hapsburg Spanish given our long war with them all over the map, and normally I, a Calvanist, would not hope to have Business connections in Catholic Italy- but in point of fact- through my good friend and investor Lord Swindon and his family ties to Italy on his grandmothers side- not to Mention his wifes family, the Sheffield's and De Vier's- covering England and France as it does- I have reached a certain market saturation foe my businesses in Northern Italy, and the Savoy.
I am often trusted with private communications between banking interests in Italy and the North, given reputation as a trusted courier. So Commerce continues- even in a time of war.
At the famous Folsom Faire in New castle this years end I hope to find myself with the traveling pavilions of the House of Swindon, who are visiting the court in the fall as it travels back to London from the north.
Perhaps we will see one another thereby. and then. Anon good Gentlewoman until that time.
