When you are in the Kitchen or out in the Backyard or Balcony Grilling/BBQ-ing what kind of Music do you like to listen to?
Do you have a particular Artist or Band that you especially like to listen to while prepping and then cooking? Do you like to have the Radio on or do you just listen to your Ipod/Hardrive/I-tunes on a random whatever comes up sort of thing?
For me?
It just depends on my mood
I like to listen to a lot of Indie stuff, then again I like to listen to Rock (both Classic and Hard), Country, Pop, Jazz (I prefer Acid Jazz Artists) and Ambient stuff

Tue, April 29, 2008 - 9:02 AMIt depends on what I am cooking.....
If I am BBQ-ing/Grilling? I like to listen typically to heavy Rock-stuff OR I may just listen to random play on my I-Tunes (Where ANYthing can come up.....System Of A Down to Kenny Chesney to Madonna)
If I am cooking something Brazillian or South American themed? I like Bossanova Artists like Gilberto Joa or Salsa Artists like Albita
If I am cooking something indepth and I am drinking a good Stout Beer or a Nice Wine? Somethimes I like Acid Jazz/Ambient Music like Esthero or Goldfrapp or Brand New Heavies
If I am frying up a big steak? Rock for sure! :) -

Sat, May 3, 2008 - 12:19 PMMost of the time these day the music is directed by my kidlings! So, something my 16, 17 or 5 year olds might want to listen to. If it makes them happy and in the kitchen with me, they can listen to what ever they want!

Re: Music
Wed, May 7, 2008 - 9:13 PMLately, I've been listening to the Music to Spazz by Show over the internet on WFMU. It's silly old rockabilly, crazy rock'n roll, stomping r&b, and country you'd never hear on another station. It's been giving me the energy to cook even though I'm getting home mighty late from work these days.

Like you Arcangel, it depends on time of day, what I'm creating and my mood. Can range from 80s, world music, techno/electronica, ambient, latin, jazz, hard rock/heavy metal to funk. When I have guests over and am still bopping around in the kitchen it's usually nothing too heavy but a good variety nonetheless. (from iPod)

Thu, June 5, 2008 - 9:07 PMI made Italian food last night while listening to reggae... so I dunno what is up with that. The mood and the food don't have to agree with the tunes ;-) --- apparently. -

I think that's cool that you listened to Reggae while making Italian food....it's all about what kind of music you like listening too while cooking/BBQ-ing/Grilling or baking :) -

Fri, June 6, 2008 - 5:47 PMwell there is nothing more groovy than to listen to some island people singing about their sensimilla crop while I am whipping up a lovely batch of semolina pasta.
