Can we? Should we? Where does "leaving the Earth" fit into human evolution and society?

This groups is for everyone interested in seeing the human race grow beyond the bounds on COUNTRIES and TERRITORIES, beyond the motivation of "national economies" and beyond the limitation of our one world.

A time is fast approaching when the technology necessary to build a "Space Ark" and set humanity on the course of permanent establishment in the galaxy, not just isolation to a single, fragile planet.

Whatever you think about politics, shelter, hunger, human rights and how we treat each other, one thing is true, in times of adversity WE work together and most people forget their individual differences and resort to doing what is right!

Join this tribe if you think we SHOULD begin building a vessel of interstellar travel at the soonest possible opportunity. A starship. A means to go beyond the limitations of our planet's current "culture", one that I believe remains a culture of greed and violence.

A starship would allow us to collectively say, "Yes, we are going" as explorers did in the days before America was a country. A vessel of "hope", hope that profit will be possible in the things we learn. Hope that new new resources will be found that allow us to build and grow our civilization, but not at the cost of thousands of lives of others we may encounter along the way!

It is my dream to leave this planet behind.
