Freelines the name. . .
. . .a new lifestyle is the game. . .
working the entire body especially your inner thighs and outer hips (ahem ladies). These skates will revolutionize skating as you know it forever.
Using a mixture of undulation for momentum and once you get rolling then just cruise like a skateboard, fly down hills like a snowboard, and pump yourself back up the hill (or anywhere else for that matter!) For the record I have NEVER gone so fast downhill in my life. . .speed doesn't even cover it!
Started out as a curious idea by Ryan Farrelly in San Francisco. He teamed up with Jason Galoob (of Galoob toy company), and they teamed up with award winning engineer Jeff Sands (who invented the clip in snowboard bindings).
Ryan has since moved to San Diego to release the skates there in the Sunshine and warm waters. I remain in Nor*Cal where the hills scream to be raced down and the community spirit thrives.
Where are you? And what are you going to do to propel this new generation of movement?
"I used to love my snakeboards but freelines have shown me a new way of moving to my internal rythym. The freeline motion has far more expression and freedom in having your legs free and not fixed.
However, jumping back onto my beloved boards and WOOOAH my board riding capability has just increased maybe 100% and im just ripping it up. The freelines have improved my balance and strange unused leg muscles by a considerable ammount as well as my confidence levels." Cafemondo
