I talked to a guy last night on myspace about his top surgery after sseing his after surgery pics. He is in Ga. and I am in Fl. He said he went to Dr Garramone here in Florida in a place called Sunrise Fl. near Ft. Laut/Miami area. I was wanting to know if anyone has used him? For my size it is $6,000 which is $1,000 less then others I looked at. Like Reardon in NYC. Plus I dont have to travel far and I would have a free place to stay after surg. instead of a hotel for 5 days. Thanks

Wed, July 18, 2007 - 1:32 PMCheap isn't the always the best idea in situations like this. The doctor that is doing my chest is 2,000 more expensive than what most surgeons are charging these days, but I'm completely confident that he's right surgeon for me.
On the other hand, the surgeon I want to do my bottom surgery is incredibly cheap. She's a transwoman, and although I haven't seen a lot of her work on ftms, what I have seen is amazing. Her mtf surgeries are wonderful as well. I've seen pictures and honestly, after healing is done I don't think I'd be able to tell the difference!
All I can tell you is follow your gut. If this surgeon feels like a good fit for you, than I'd say go for it, but if you have the slightest apprehension about it, I'd reconsider.

Wed, July 25, 2007 - 11:13 PMi've heard horrible things about reardon= he totally fucked up my friend's chest, left sutures in, etc etc etc. i do know he is a well known surgeon pick, but i agree with the previous post about not always going with the cheaper option. i've been broke for the past 3 years since i had my top surgery (with brownstein), but i am so glad that i put in that extra money b/c i could not be happier with the results. -

I'm kinda-sorta a pro-ing tennis player and I was told you can have top surgery without hormones first... If that's true... do you know how long out of action I might be before going back to regular schedule?

Thu, July 26, 2007 - 8:16 AMa buddy of mine here in asheville, nc went to Reardon and he TOTALLY fucked up his DI. Scars are huge, nipple graft didn't take on left side properly, etc... and i've seen his chest. I do not reccommend Reardon

Tue, December 25, 2007 - 3:27 PMjust a heads up, reardon is not currently practice as his liscience has been suspended due to his being under the influence during surgery. There are malpractice suits underway.

Mon, December 24, 2007 - 6:15 PMI just had my top surgery with Dr. Garramone and I couldn't be happier. Really, I can't suggest him or his staff any more than to say I wouldn't have gone anywhere else.
I know this post is late, but best of luck to you or anyone else looking with their top surgeries.
