    My favorite,,,, oh lets see.
    1. SAMIRA and JENNE and CAIRO FUSION, the workshops rocked, and I am going to start making the cueing technique a high priority, now that I can actually focus on thinking...i think.
    2. The people were so inviting and friendly. Got to meet neat people too.
    3. The show was amazing and so much talent we want more.
    4. The opportunity to dance with fantabulous and inspirational people from the northwest.
    My least favorite...
the fact that THIS NEEDS TO BE A BIG EVENT....it so deserves the bigtime, we need to recruit and get more. cause more is better! LOL
and that it isn't right next door, but I am going to drive again next year and be there to support ya'll. maybe bus in MORE girls and guys.

p.s. do you have an instructional dvd! or instructional piece of paper I lost my notes, and my brain melted with the heat. :-)

I think my fave was just gettting to see everybody again. Of course, performing is always fun, but it was *really* nice getting to see some of the girls (and guys!) I hadn't seen since last year.

Doesn't take too much in the ball-department to bitch about my least favorite thing though. The freakin' heat!!! Was that awful or what, on Sunday? That and the fact that we didn't seem to have quite as many people this year, but in all seriousness, it seems like it just got even better from last year. Great food (thanks, everyone who brought stuff!) great area. It was nice to have a big room to practice in and not get in everyone's makeup this time. And the venue was fun! A nice stage for echoey, loud stomps. ;)

Thank you again, Samira. It was a blast!

My favorite thing was to see all the reconstruct outfits - what a great idea and an absolute ball to participate in. Oh, and ALL the workshops kicked butt!
My least favorite thing was the heat - I think we could all agree on that one!!!!! Jees - 105 freakin degrees and just the swamp cooler in the studio.....
Samira - as always - you rock! And everyone who came down and over and played for Fest was wonderful!! I soooo enjoyed playing with you all this year and looking forward to next year!

Both Monica and I said hands down our favorite thing was ALL of you at the festival! You all blew us away with your incredible hospitality. We felt like we had been invited into someone's home. You treated us like royalty. Everyone was so friendly, so nice, and in such a genuine spirit. I left feeling like I had made some true friends!

And, Samira... girl, you got a wonderful family and amazing friends. Please let them all know how much we appreciate them and how thankful we are for all the help they gave us. That doesn't happen every day!

We Seattlites were diggin' the heat! We were starved for sunshine and warmth and were lovin' it!

I can't think of one single thing that I didn't like about the festival. Great job, Samira and crew! Thanks for all your hard work and for putting on such a great festival. Can't wait for next year!

SO.....if I had to sum it up in one word....MONICAFREAKINDANGERPANTZFERNANDEZ.....she RAQ'D!!!!
But honestly, I cant sum it up with just one favorite thing. The whole thing was awesome, loved the Reconstruct Pre Party, loved the big show, loved seeing different dancers that I dont get to see usually and loved getting to see some of my local faves from Salt Lake.
Samira, it was great getting to meet you face to face, and next time we will have to try to hang a bit. Thank you for allowing Dahlia to dance at the Pre Party. She had a great time....
I have to agree with the only thing I didnt like was the heat....and I wish I would have signed up for some workshops, but with my knees, I never know what kind of shape I am going to be in when the workshop rolls around... :o(
Anyway...thanks Samira for a great show and a wonderful weekend in Idaho.....

Meeting Super Special Souls who make my heart ache every time I think about them!
(I must have been really really good in my past lives because I am so humbled and awed by the beautiful, authentic, open hearted women I got to meet and spend time with at Fest!)

One of my other favorite things was having ALL 3 headliners come to my yoga class!!!!!!
A Fusion Fest First I might add, it made me feel really special :)

Having a fire lit under my ass after seeing such stellar dancing! Makes me think of Amy's Valley of Hesitation quote!

My least favorite was the ladies I didn't get to connect with but wanted too, and oh yeah yakking in the bushes at the Pre-Party!
    The blew for sure!

Oh Shite! Ma-hark! He's always my favorite!

Another wonderful experience in Boise! I can't thank you all enough for making Layla feel so warm and special! I love the community in Boise! Just keeps getting better!

We are currently in Colorado. I will try to get a video up within the next couple of days. We are internet challenged where we are so it may take a little while....

Man, there were so many fabulous dancers at Fusion Fest and it was such a totally fun weekend. I am so grateful that Samira managed to fit us in her amazing show! Thank you again!! It was truely awesome to be apart of Fusion Fest this year not just watching in the audience. Although I wish I could have seen all of the performances! I loved getting to meet and mingle with everyone and I look forward to seeing you all again. Samira and all the Cairo Fusion crew were so sweet and made everyone feel welcome - you all ROCK!!!

I really think more people should come to Fusion Fest!! It totally needs a full house - SOLD OUT. Everyone tell all your friends, family, co-workers, people on the street to come next year!!! Really wishing I would have taken a workshop - just not sure if I could keep up with all of you...

      My favorite parts were:

Running sound with Lindsay! It was a fun and funny adventure and we made it through without blowing anything up, or playing the wrong song( for the most part) :)

Meeting new amazing people and reconnecting with the amazing people I already know! It's more and more like coming home each time we travel to Boise, and I'm so grateful for those connections.

The show was rockin! The workshops were rockin! (Christina trying to tickle my armpit in the workshop was a classic moment hee-hee)

The downside was there's never enough time to meet everyone, so it's good this is an annual event. I get more than one chance to get to know all the other amazing people out there.(In case you all didn't catch it A-Maze-Ing)

I'm pumped for next year already! I can't wait!

I had a blast !!! Everyone was so nice..my favorite thing was rolling up to the dance studio for class and wondering what was in the rather industrial boarded up looking building only to discover a beautiful dance studio filled with lovely people. I love surprises it is all about the inside that counts!!! Every one I met seemed like good honest folks full of love for the dance and fellow dancers sooo lovely. Nice performance venue too!
The heat was a little much for me intense coming from the NW rain and cold!. aaawwhh glorious sun!
the only thing I wish is that me and the girls could have gotten there sooner and stayed later! so we could meet more peeps and partake in all the fun...
next year we will take more time off and stay for the whole thing!!! YEAH

Thanks so much for letting Steph and I (Gaia Graces) join your event. Never have I wanted to F-up less...still did ...but I'm getting over it. Both of us loved being part of it all. While our fusion is a bit different from most of you fabulous ladies, we felt so welcome. Inspired to do more of our funky poly poi veil fusion. Erin's supportful comments was rockin' Thanks lady! Even if it did make me totally nervous!

Best part was everything! Only made one workshop and Monica kicked my ass (a bit beyond my ability, but what a great way to take a bite out of something new! I turned 40 the next day, with totally worked out gluts! Talk about feeling ones age!)

I'm an opinionated girl, with opinion filled balls, so hope your not sorry you asked...but the part I liked least about the fest was that so many performers on Saturday all had very slow music. Great moves! but with the event running late it was hard to stay engaged with everyones hard work. The deep dark side of tribal fusion is way hot! (I now have 3 official girl crushes) But as an audience member I was longing for an upbeat. OH and while I'm sure the school nixed it completely, some refreshments at the Sat show would have been fabulous. I brought non dancer friends, who loved it, but were totally parched.
