I wish I could have slept in yesterday! Had to hit the road home!

Monica and I had so much fun in Boise. We love that town and, more so, we love the community and all of you. Thanks for giving us a warm welcome once again. And, thanks to everyone for the hard work in putting together such a great festival!

And, to everyone who stopped by the booth Saturday evening... THANK YOU!

Hope to see many of you in November at Sidonia's Hafla!

Thank you to the dancers - those that have returned this year, and the folks that came to Fest for the first time - you keep us going! You inspire us, teach us, support us, and challenge us to put on a rockin' festival every year. Thanks for the feedback; it definitely helps us polish our procedure for future Fusion Fests.

A HUGE thank you to our families and friends that love us, support us, deal with glitter/feathers/costume pieces everywhere, carry our stuff to performances, let us disappear to classes and rehearsals for untold hours every week, and encourage us to be the badass dancers that we all are! You inspire me just as much as the dancers do... *mwah* >:D<

MY GOD! Where has the week gone? I am so sorry to have not written sooner all. I am still in robot mode from all the traveling last weekend. I feel like I can finally stop and fully unpack my stuff now! I had so many things to say to each and everyone of you but alas I could not stay for the after party since I had to get back to MT early for that whole job business. Man I wish dance was my full time business! Don't we all? Anyways, I just wanted you to know that I was so impressed with everyone! I really appreciated the thoughtfulness of the workshops (Shalee and Samira raq my socks off), the beauty in each of your dance pieces, the great shopping, as well as the variety and diversity displayed in the show (I mean we had everything from Gothic, to pop and lock tribal fusion, to progressive new age tribal fusion, cabaret, silk veil, duets, soloists, troupes, etc.). Also, a big thanks to our hosts! The Boise belly dance community has it going on and Cairo Fusion is AMAZING! Seriously, it made me wish I had more peeps in MT so we could have that kind of butt kicking sisterhood. Lastly, I just wanted to tell you that when I was weathering the 7.5 hour drive home I had a huge smile on my face! I really was so humbled and flattered to receive the people's choice soloist award. I am honored to have attended Fusion Fest for the first time and to have been so warmly welcomed. It was a pleasure to meet you and to share the stage with you. Plus, where else do you get a gift basket for dancing? Other festivals are always going to fall short because you guys set the bar very high! I have already used the lotion and am sporting the magnets on my fridge! Woot woot! Miss you all! Let me know if you are ever around these parts and keep me updated on happenings in ID. I will try to make it to UNMATA but I may be at an MT belly event. We will see!
