Collaboration

Collaboration techniques (such as prediction markets, concept maps and human based genetic algorithms) will be used as a way to develop and refine the ideas for this community and eventually run it. If these ideas are of interest to you, please drop in and look around.

It is with great excitement and anticipation that we invite you to participate in the first, Water Woman gathering, an all-inclusive global event on the Sunshine Coast this summer, inspired by the popular annual ‘Burning Man’ festival.
Much like Burning Man, our collective intention is to create a magical journey towards consciousness, wholeness and sustainability on the planet.

“Our mission is to inspire, empower and entertain by co-creating a sustainable community gathering, celebrating Water as Life, Unity Consciousness and the Divine Feminine. Water Woman integrates healing, learning and growth through the Arts, Spirit and Nature."

Water Woman gathering will be held at beautiful Crystal Creek on the Sunshine Coast, British Columbia, Friday, Aug. 1st to Monday, Aug. 4th, 2008, a BC long weekend. This four day event will inspire and activate 250-500 attendees, with rates varying from daily passes at $35 to all-inclusive weekend passes, valued at $133. including camping on this pristine paradise. Most activities will be scheduled in advance comprising daily yoga and meditation, ceremonies, rituals, workshops, sweat lodges, dancing, an international marketplace, performance and visual arts. ASTROLOGY

Since modern man is unnatural by definition, it is impossible to persuade one into a primitive belief, such as in the real sky above our heads. For modern superstition, the sky is in the computer. This simple dogma is based on much more than 2000 years of European superstition. That Mayan civilisation and Egypt made no errors is a know fact. These and other cultures were in fact impeccable even with megacycles that encompass precession as elementary unit. Today we know that the horoscope has 22 zodiacal constellations and 16 ascendants for the epoch, but in the past there was popular belief in 12 signs. This belief implied sky devoid of precession and therefore rotation. Solid belief in lack of change was necessary in order to establish puppets and believers instread of c]scientific thought and real astrology. Nowadays it is easy to avoid charlatans. Everyone that makes mention of the 12 signs is safely avoided as superstitious, and therefore dangerous charlatan. Such a demon has never seen the real sky and can not know anything about your own original natal sky.

MAGICK

While truly magickal being of course needs no ritual, the modern man craves for talismans, gadgets and all sort of silly paraphernalia. Only a total loser can trust in the power of regaila and talismans, since the said objects have hardly any power. Some objects do have power, but are impracticable as well as improbable to find, after being charged by beings with magickal power. Such beings are simply not around, besides being obsolete for the initiate. All that the initiate needs he already has, and that is difficult to understand in a modern man. Often true initiation starts naturally in dream or dream time, as initiates tend to daydream, that is enter a separate domain, the astral domain or second attention, whatever the terminology. The real time reality rendering tools are not technique as we do not need any to produce magickal effects right here right now. All sort of silly rituals of the past were just tools addressed ast reinforcing intent.

With Christmas just around the corner…we’re dancing Contact !

Second encounter with Four Seasons Jams, a project of art and culture that continues to call attention to the city of Orvieto in Italy, with regards to Contact Improvisation, the Performing Art and dance of Improvisation.

The next appointment is the International Winter Solstice Jam on the 21, 22 and 23 of December, to greet the arrival of winter, and to celebrate Christmas time and a week from the end of the year, dancing Contact together.
Second Jam in a series of four, every three months, at every change of season.

The jam will be held at the headquarters of the cultural Association Caravajal15 residenza dinamica, in the prestigious sixteenth century rooms of the Palazzo Caravajal-Simoncelli.

The dance studio in our dynamic residence is welcoming and serene; in addition to dancing together, time and space are dedicated to personal requirements, to being together, to visiting the splendid Etruscan city of Orvieto.

We’ll dance together and we’ll warm ourselves in front of the fire in the fireplace in the frescoed Room of the Four Seasons, during the three days of the jam.

It is open to all, with three days of improvisation dance in the residence, including hospitality, reception and meals.

The fee is 100 euros, which includes also hospitality, reception and meals.

Lodging in the residence
We can host up to 20\24 people, comfortably.
We are organized with mattresses that the participants can use, scattered here and there in the 150 square meters of the studio.
You have to bring your own sleeping bag and a blanket, or sheets\pillow and blanket, as you prefer.
There’s a room in residence equipped for preparing breakfast and meals, in addition to dressing rooms and showers.
One person will cook for us during the three days of the jam.
Lunch will be light (fruit, rice, vegetables and/or cheese, cookies, honey, tea, coffee, etc.).
Evenings a dinner will be offered.

We are particularly proud to communicate the presence at the festival of the great Italian/American Artist Simone Forti, a pioneer in the genesis of the performing arts and improvisation dance. Forti has received various grants, including six NEA fellowships, a “Bessie” New York Dance and Performance award for sustained achievement, and a Dance Resource Center of Los Angeles Lester Horton Award for lifetime achievement.
In 2005 she received a Guggenheim Fellowship.
She is an adjunct professor in the Department of World Arts and Cultures at UCLA, and continues to teach and perform worldwide.

Presently enrollment in the festival program and residential intensive workshops are under way.

We communicate that for the entire month of August the festival offices will be closed for vacation and we will be unable to answer your mail or phone calls, nor verifying money orders and credit transfers sent during the summer break.
The office will reopen on September 4th.

In the midsummer of 2006 the tribal dance network family are invited to pack their camping gear and join together at the first summer version of our annual winter Intention Retreat. Situated at our time honored Crystal Creek location on the Sunshine Coast BC, we join with the intentions set upon it, of crystallizing conscious community in balance with nature.

As with all Intention Retreats, it is less spectacle oriented and more participant driven, with people encouraged to share their talents, gifts,resources,ideas and skills towards co-creating the micro version of the world we wish to inhabit on an eventual larger scale. At the same time we are each witness and encouragers to each others growth and our collective movement towards evolution in a spirit that contains child to elder.

To increase the participatory levels and give time for the needed collaborations and projects that will be created to be ready for the camp we will be hosting a small number of local orientations in the community fold. At these working pods will be formed.Other visiting dance tribes are encouraged to host their own in preparation and will be given support to do so.

To give a loose idea of how things will flow and how you can insert your flavor into things, the weekend may contain:

7 day gathering from Monday to Sunday
7 chakra journey, each day being a new color and energy
7th moon of the year
7 years, each year will represent a chakra ending on the Crown for 2013

the gathering will include :
- workshops on conscious lifestyles, new paradigm practices, tribal community, sustainability and natural healing
- healing and wellness provided by and facilitated by healers and shamans
- ceremony directed by native American elders and spirit guides
- theater and performance including presentations by local children and youth
- daily routines and practices for wellness and balance with yoga, meditation, energy balancing, breath work, sacred sound journey?s and vegetarian meals
- each day all activities and events including music will reflect the energy or chakra of each day and the emotions associated with it
- A full moon gathering will be arranged for event volunteers and participants the 13th, 14th and 15th to bring everyone together, synchronize the program and our intentions, and act as a 3 day set up event or work party
** all participants will be asked to arrive by Friday the 13th to ensure set-up space **

greetings fellow synchronauts,

a wonderful and activating gathering is forming this January (2006) in Xilitla Mexico in the magical oasis and surrealist garden of Las Pozas.

all are welcome, please invite those who you may feel will become inspired by this gathering including those who wish to participate

general participation will hopefully be shard by all, and currently, we are seeking visionaries, workshop facilitators, healers, inspirational speakers (spanish skills preferred), artists of all walks, ceremonial initiators, experienced builders and trades people and those willing to work hard to create an example of a new Eden

as described in the concept outline, the gathering will run 7 days for 7 years, each day exploring and experiencing a chakra as well as each year representing a chakra, and to host the gathering on the resonant moon (being the 7th moon in the 13 moon calendar)

ultimately this first year will be the Muldahara chakra representing the root, and its been discussed with core organizers that this year will focus on exactly this concept, to form the roots, concepts, ideas, construct a viable venue, hold council for vision and future manifestations and intentions, along with grounding the project for the following 6 years leading to the end of the grand cycle in 2013

it would be lovely if we had the finances and resources to see the initial program to fruition, but these plans were very idealistic and at this point we´ve decided to keep things humble and simple and allow the event to grow organically

therefore, if you wish to attend and participate we welcome you from a grass-roots, Mycorrhiza level...please plan to attend as an equal participant and contributor

we will not be asking any specific entry fee for the first year, tho we will ask for a minimal donation towards basic expenses such as necessary supplies including food, fuel, a small and humble soundsystem and stage area, transport assistance for native elders and whatever various supplies required to make everyone´s stay comfortable, safe and enjoyable ...for example initially we were planning to ask $10 US per day towards the event including camping ...but at this point it may work out to only $5 US per day (50pesos)

we are asking in confidence that all who plan to attend this year for the first event to come with positive and creative energy with sincere intentions to contribute and participate...this first gathering will lay the foundation for the following years, the ripple from this wave of intention and creativity will be felt and experienced at the future gatherings ...please come with an open heart and clear mind

the gathering will focus on vision council and workshops daily, including group activities such as daily wellness practices, jungle and mountain hikes, medicine journey´s, including work sessions to create a functional and unique eco-village for the following years

eventually our efforts will help to create a miniature version of how we collectively see and invison a new Eden or Shambhala ...therefore our creativity, love and passion will be reflected thru our efforts to build this sanctuary together

there will be teepee´s set-up prior to the event and perhaps a stage for performance and music ....Kaco, the owner and guardian of Las Pozas has become very inspired by the vision and project to such an extent that he has already built and completed new washroom facilities and a sauna....plus he has offered us the camping areas to create an Eco-Village for future generations

New Years Intention Celebration Tickets Now Available

for anyone looking for a drunk free/sketch free vibe and a place to set their New Years intention backed up by 2 rooms of varied styles of electronic music you may be interested in the Intention New Years celebration. It's near Langdale ferry terminal on the Sunshine Coast and there will be shuttles. We will have security to keep out the unwanted elements.

The two rooms will feature an ongoing themed selection of uptempo and downtempo music by participants in the Intention Retreat (still open for registration till this coming Sunday the 18th..see www.intention7.com for more details and check out the orientation/registration Sunday @ Olduvai Space (930 Station St./Prior 1-5pm). Includes vegan/vegetarian breakfast in the morning.

There will be a community ritual to release the past year and let go of what we do not want to carry into the next and to activate intentions to guide us onwards into the next cycle. There will also be a quiet meditation space for sitting and contemplating as well as a roaring fire to feed things to release or to bring into being. Additionally we'll have a team doing psycrisis support for anyone having a bad trip if they are in need of it.

i went to the invision festival for the first time in 2005. (gave up alot for it...so worthwhile)

with lots of experience of beiing a the most hardcore non-conformist i know....

i must admit that from the very bottom depths of my open heart, the reality of the invision festival means alot alot to me.

the reality is...my personal ReaLIFE story
HIStory

HERstory...is deeply filled with universal insight.

in this life of mine,at the wee age of four, i was rushed by modern people (with good intentions i underSTAND) into modern eye-care facilities in the city.

i was taken away from my home village, grand valley ontario
alot
to toronto (the city)
where i was asked to sit in metal/plastic chairs
inside offices
inside boX shaped office buildings
inside hospitals...many different ones...operation tables, labs

as i was asked
to look
through machines of all shapes
and sizes
towards doctors (the leading top knotch doctors) eyes

i was given drops that made my eyes turn yellow
and red
and so many high tech light shows, lazers
sometimes i was given a room with a bed and food & stayed for weeks in the hospital. and these things happened for years...throughout my life.

i was given contact lenses at age four.
and thick magnifying like pink glasses...so heavy.

and ONE THING has always been clear,

each meeting with every single doctor has enCOURAGED me to understand that I AM A MIRACLE HERE.
I have been told so many times that my case is unusual.
that since my cataracts were probably existing with my birth, and were never detected until i was four, and grew and grew, that i "should" be experiencing more problems than i am.

Hey everybody...Just putting the word out that I've posted some recent creations on my website, www.spectraleyes.com. I was going to do an official unveiling at the In:Vision festival this weekend, but I just couldn't wait that long. I've just come back from NYC, spending some time with Alex Grey and receiving an exponentially expanding inspiration pulse. He really has quite an extraordinary ability to affect people like that! It must just be his intensely creative morphic resonance field...Or his rippling rainbow aura. So anyway you lucky people get the sneak preview. Although it never compares to the real thing. I will also have prints available at the festival if anyone's interested. S'gonna be a real humdinger of a hoedown! See you there...
