Re: Y not?
Wed, August 10, 2005 - 12:21 PMIt is similar to twixt but no bridges. Played on triangular board that is similar to a truncated tetrahedron that’s been squished flat. See Image.
Play alternates between 2 players placing a stone (playing piece of their sides color). The person to have a complete path of stones that touches all 3 sides wins.
The Swap option is best used with this game. (second player decides to play against or take the 1st players move as his/her own swapping colors) This reduces the first move dominance in many games.
going to log off for a sec. be back later. -

Re: Y not?
Wed, August 10, 2005 - 12:26 PMYou play on the intersections like go. -
-
Re: Y not?
Wed, August 10, 2005 - 12:31 PMso a path of b1-b2-b3 would result in 2 sides being pathed? what about a1? does that count as both? -

Re: Y not?
Wed, August 10, 2005 - 12:43 PMA1,B1,C1,D1,E1,F1,G1,H1,M1
could be a win
notice it would then be impossible for your opponent to connect to the bottom side. -
-
Re: Y not?
Wed, August 10, 2005 - 12:45 PMIt would connect all 3 sides.
If You want to play go ahead and pick a point to play and I will move when I'm back online Ben.

Re: Y not?
Thu, August 11, 2005 - 2:36 PMoh crap.. sorry about that
sure... you go first ;) -
-
Re: Y not?
Thu, August 11, 2005 - 3:54 PMNo go ahead, you can go first if you want to, or you can continue the first game if you like. It's up to you.
If you want I will play first and give you the option to play against or Swap?
If that’s the case I'll play F8 (and if you want to swap, I'll answer with G7)
Let me know how you want to proceed.
I do suggest at least to end up with the first move so as you will always have 1 move up on me.

I didn't mean to seem like you forfeited the last game, It's cool if you get busy and can't post I just was asking because I thought I was left hanging.

Re: Y not?
Thu, August 11, 2005 - 7:42 PMi like it, it's just easier for me to make my move looking at the coordinates and not having to flip back and forth between images... but it's cool.

Re: Y not?
Thu, August 11, 2005 - 9:15 PMTry to work bigger areas don't get all tied up in a small area because that's where your stones are now. play with a bigger view of the board. Be ready to start over fighting elsewhere, where you can push the fight to your other stones as backup.

Re: Y not?
Fri, August 12, 2005 - 2:58 PMNah you'r last move forced me to answer and it gave you a little extra influence on the upper right side it was definitely worth forcing me to answer a meta connection and finalizing it you gained some influence.
J7

Fri, August 12, 2005 - 3:14 PMJ6
I thot for sure you were going to play the outside edges (J6&J8) first to get a little outside influence just in case. -
-
Re: Y not?
Fri, August 12, 2005 - 3:21 PMyeah, i'm still learning... keep beating my head into your walls. LOL
my pieces are so disorganized

Fri, August 12, 2005 - 3:28 PMK3
See how tho if you played the outside(J6) before I couldn't get away with this move. -
-
Re: Y not?
Fri, August 12, 2005 - 3:35 PMyeah, cuz now you have two options to complete the line... i'm beginnign to see... :)
I know I've lost, but I want to play this out
H2 -

Re: Y not?
Fri, August 12, 2005 - 3:40 PMGood play
L2
No you definately are getting good at this. H2 M1 is a good way to force my choice with the wall to choose between. I see where you are going and it's some good instincts. IMO -
-
Re: Y not?
Fri, August 12, 2005 - 4:00 PMM1... to keep you from getting a twofer. :) Odds are you'll go H1 cuz you've got good position on the right side of the board to make your connection to that side. Yes? -
-
Re: Y not?
Fri, August 12, 2005 - 4:09 PMYep H1
and you are probably going to go M3. If not now, soon enough. -
-
Re: Y not?
Fri, August 12, 2005 - 4:11 PMYeah I need to hit M3 now cuz if I don;t then you're one move away from filling in that line and I can't stop it.
M3 -

Re: Y not?
Fri, August 12, 2005 - 4:15 PMYeah you could have played where I need to answer first or else I loose my other end. But that just delays the inevitable ;P
L8 -er -

Re: Y not?
