Ben I challenge you to a game of Twixt, Max turn time limit of 24 hrs from last move ie: Ben players @ 11:38pm (tribe time), if I don't move by 11:38pm next day (tribe time) I forfeit.
With your choice to go first or second. Or if you wish with the Swap option (I play first and you choose if you want to play against it and move OR Swap colors so you take that move as your move and I play against it.
What do you say? You clearly have the opening advantage.

Do you know the rules?
Use the board grid in the images to denote your peg move and declare any "knights move" bridge connecting pegs. I will update the image of our game in the images and label it "Steve N Ben’s Game"
Wadda you say? the gauntlet has been thrown.

So Twixt teaches us the lessons of stop feeding a loosing battle, jump out to where you are strong and your opponent is weak, and what the difference of just the right distance of influence can make. Twixt & Y reinforce the lesson of running a line with jump and leaps. And what is Meta connected and what is close/strong enough to have enough influence and options to the wall to be secure.

These games lead well into Go (you knew these were gateway games didn’t you?). Go is a game of area and if any of you would like to try a different game of area before diving into Go I would suggest (and willing) to play Cathedral to get the idea of encircling territory and removal of encircled enemies. With Cathedral (http://www.cathedral-game.co.nz/ ) I suggest playing a set of 2 games each player placing the Cathedral once, and keep the combined score to decide the winner (if that matters to you).

Since Go is a game of area, Cathedral does help in learning some good lessons of encircling and managing space. Go’s rules of play are simple but complex in application. There are many resources for Go including rules how to play (http://games.yahoo.com/games/helphub.html?page=go ) at Yahoo games. It may be a large feat to describe the rules and play of Go so as not to mislead anyone or be very wordy here. You may want to read the rules for yourself. But I am happy to contribute in any thread that inquires about the rules (http://games.yahoo.com/games/rules/go/gobasics.html?page=go ) or play.
