Hi everyone,

As opening day gets closer, it's time for me to clean out my garb closet and make room for new stuff. I have a Bullseye washable silk outfit for sale. I bought the set two years ago at NYRF. I am looking to move toward more earthy colors for my garb and will probably be getting new silk pieces from them. This outfit might as well go to a good home.

The top is a men's(?) shirt with large fluttery sleeves and dusty lavender in color. I've seen many women wear these shirts under their bodices. The sleeves can be tied at the wrist for a long sleeve length or tied in the back to create a short sleeve look. The neck is open in a "V" with two tie cords for closure. There is no size tag so I guess it is one size fits all. It is very large and flowy so it will fit most men and can be cinched by a bodice to fit most women.

The skirt is a very pretty dark purple color. It too does not have a size tag in it. It has an elastic waist. There are a few loose strings inside the waist band from washing but nothing detrimental to the piece.

Both pieces can be washed normally and can be thrown in the dryer for a short period of time to get the wrinkles out before wearing.

Now for pictures:
<a href="http://img225.imageshack.us/img225/771/frontdx1.jpg" target="_blank">Ensemble</a>
<a href="http://img229.imageshack.us/img229/9394/backflutterxg5.jpg" target="_blank">Sleeve Fullness back</a>
<a href="http://img225.imageshack.us/img225/3561/tiedsleevevp0.jpg" target="_blank">Long Sleeve look</a>
<a href="http://img378.imageshack.us/img378/8007/backtieis3.jpg" target="_blank">Short Sleeve back</a>
<a href="http://img228.imageshack.us/img228/8782/backtiefrontrm7.jpg" target="_blank">Short Sleeve front</a>

I am looking for $145 for the ensemble which includes shipping.
I would rather Paypal to make the exchange quick and easy.
Please email me garbasaurus at yahoo.com if you are interested. Thanks!

Hi - I've decided to get rid of a few pieces of my garb and heard this is a great place to post it. I don't have pics yet, but will dig them out and put them in my profile as soon as possible.

- A reversible bodice. Cranberry red brocade/gold floral print brocade. Approx Size 18-20. Scoop neck with cranberry ribbon lacing at the front and sides. Standard renfest shop stuff with no boning but sturdy.

- Full length, fully lined dress with train and long (floor length) sleeves, square neckline (used Butterick 3552). Size 22/24, sky blue shantung with gold floral brocade trim at the neckline and sleeve. Sleeve lining is white shantung. Very pretty, but may not be "kosher" with the truly authentic costumers (it does have a zipper but it hides well and probably could be reworked). Matching masque complete with peacock plumes and other feathers also available (it made a KILLER Halloween costume).

- Pale, shimmery, lavender chemise, size 22-24 (used Butterick 6196). Long sleeves with pointed tip and elasticated sleeve for a nice "pouf"
- matching doble skirt (did my own patterning on this), pale shimmery lavender overskirt, attached to an underskirt with panels of dark purple and black.

I'll upload the pictures from the patterns at least, for now, and will dig up some photos of myself wearing the outfits as soon as I can.

Pennsic 36 marks a unique event for Vlad’s… Our 20th ANNIVERSARY!!!

In celebration of this auspicious occasion the first week of War we intend to entertain you each night with a variety of themed festivities and other curiosities. Beginning with our own version of Opening Ceremonies, and including such delights as Roman Games and The Night of a Thousand Vlad’s, we are sure we will find some way to tickle a fancy or two of yours. Also we will be hosting the Slave Auction and the Masked Ball per usual. We invite all of you to come over to Vlad’s and help us make each night special. A schedule for all activities will be posted on-line shortly and be available in camp.

Also in commemoration of this grand milestone we will be producing a limited run of Vlad’s 20th Anniversary T-shirts. Once they are gone no more will ever be produced. Some will be raffled off on the various nights, and, if there are any left, some might be made available for bidding at the Slave Auction. If you want to ensure getting yourself a shirt you can purchase one in camp or on-line at http://www.vladstoys.com/scripts/prodview.asp?idProduct=516.
Along with our usual purchase of several dozen barrels of beer (and probably more than that this year), the added expense of the multiple themed parties, and the outlay for the Anniversary shirts, Vlad’s will likely be running at a much bigger deficit than normal. Help us celebrate and keep the camp afloat by getting your own Vlad’s 20th Anniversary Shirt.

We’ve been proud to be your hosts for the past nineteen years and delighted in seeing all of you enjoying the product of our annual labors. We look forward to hosting and entertaining you for many, many years to come.

Love,
Vlad and his Minions

Not sure what to charge or trade for but as long as I'm cutting I can knock a few extras out. It will also depend on the wood I can get. these are designed for 3/4" Plywood. No hardware as the tab's simply slide together on the sides and seat bottom and then the back locks it all together. I may or may not add arm rests too. No finish is easiest for me (I hate doing finishing work) Plywood type would be limited to what I can get locally. Prices or worth of course would depend on cost of materials.

She can do anything-from classic medieval stuff, eastern dance style stuff, elizabethan- from pennsic basics to really elaborate stuff that would make the royals jealous. She is extremely talented and makes beautiful, durable garb- Ive been coming to her for almost 8 years and have been thrilled with everything she's made for me- plus, her rates are ridiculously reasonable. If you are interested, her name is Allison and her email is metalmom37@aol.com. Be sure to put "garb" or "Pennsic" in the subject of your inquiries- she's working on getting a website up so people can more easily view her work, but if you are interested, she will gladly send you photos of examples.

PS. Keep in mind that she works out of Ohio- and that right before Pennsic she is always booked solid! lol the best time to contact her is in the winter and spring

Based on first impressions I'm extrememly happy with my purchase! My arms are pretty simple consisting of basic shapes and therefore wasn't too expensive. My lady's arms are a bit more difficult having a Great Blue Heron and three Tudor roses. Thankfully only in two colors mine was in three colors.

This lady specializes in custom garden flags and banners so her work is based on that, using Ripstop nylon I believe? Her website says it all actually so I won't repeat that but rather let it and her speak words that I could not do justice to.

I did not closely examine the stitching yet and I will take pictures and post them later.

www.rehmancustomflags.com

She is also local to the South Western PA folks.

Just keep in mind that she is taking orders now for January of Febraury delivery. She is that busy!

Having inspected the stitching and looking closer at the construction now I' find nothing to be concerned about. I've nothing but praise for the work this lady does. If you want a custom banner of your arms take a look at this ladies work.

A 12' x 12' Blue and Orange Canvas Sunshade. Has a tag on it and is a little dirty but not in bad shape other wise. It's a 5 pole type with 4 in the corners and one in the center. It came to me with aluminum sliding poles, 6 of them. I, for the life of me, can't really figure out how to set it up though? i believe that if you are putting this up on the ground you stack two of the pole for the center section? If you are setting it up on a table then you don't stack the poles? It seriously needs some cleaning but there were no holes in it and no mildewed spots that I noticed? It has nylon ropes with nice wood slider/toggles to adjust them. The stakes that came with it are crap though. There were extra ropes as well? The Tag states it's 12' x 12' but I didn't measure it last night. The colors are faded a bit and there are 4 strips of canvas so it alternates from blue to orange to blue to orange. The poles are aluminum and are adjustable with neat little friction locks.

I have no idea what it's really worth? Being canvas it's gotta be worth more than the cheapy plastic shades right? Anyhow if anyone is interested let me know otherwise it's goin' on the auction block!

As most of you know or are soon to figure out, when wearing multiple skirts, a bodice, shift and whatever other layers of garb you wear so often in 100+ degree heat, bloomers become a "must". I often go through 1-2 pairs a day in excessive heat.....for that "oh so fresh" feeling.

You're in luck! I make bloomers at reasonable prices. I have about 35 pairs in stock right now at $25 a pair. If you would like custom bloomers, the material of your choice, sized to fit you, it's $40 a pair. Shipping is $5.

Bloomers are 100% cotton, NO elastic at the knees for added freedom and they come in three standard sizes. For the tiny girls, they come in "Pixie", for the healthier women (12-16), they come in "Voluptuous" and for the blessedly larger women they also come in "Fluffy Goddess". Waist bands are adjustable to suit you.

One catch about these bloomers is that they can be obnoxious, fun, lovely, sexy, cute, or goofy patterns. I call them Nancy Fancy Pants and they have outrageous patterns, everything that is NOT historically period.

If you are interested, please either send a message back to me on tribe or e-mail me directly at nancyfancypants@sbcglobal.net. My website is under construction.
