What if our relationships, our communities, our gatherings were really entities, spirits that live in our collective unconscious? This tribe is for those of us who have felt the spirits of our relationships -- romantic, friendship, partnership and more! -- and have chosen to bring them out into the light to create them with love and consciousness.

The idea came as my sweet love Paget and I were just starting our relationship: what if the relationship was something more than just something to refer to indirectly, more than something that sort of "just happen". What if. . . our relationship was something like a young spirit, almost like a child. A being we can care for and raise. A friend to take with us when we go to events or hang out with our family. We noticed that people noticed not only each of us individually, but *something*else*, something more that was with us when we most strongly felt love for each other.

And thus we named our relationship "The Brilliant City of the Soul", a place for our souls to merge and create something shining and inspiring. And then, a few months later, we felt her -- feminine to me -- change and call for something more, a name that would show her as the loving abundant open relationship that she is: Afthonia, greek for abundance.

Afthonia felt strong yet decidedly unsure of how to take on the world. She had found her edge, listening to both of us, learning to be herself almost independently from us, and in the end, having us go beyond what we thought possible in a relationship.

And thus she has called for other relationships to join her in this exploration of what it means to be a relationship, to have relationships gather and mentor each other in those places where they feel they need it the most!
