I'm starting this thread to invite comment on the work of Scott Seidman, which I continue to search out on the web, having discovered a couple of examples of his erotic riffs on Christian iconography in Edward Lucie Smith's _Erotic Art_. Is anyone aware of exhibit catalogues, reviews, etc. that highlight this aspect of his work?

Mon, June 29, 2009 - 12:03 PMPursuant to my search: these days Google turns up sacredporn.org as the first hit under Seidman's name; but entering the url, I get a plain black screen. I'm assuming this is some sort of censorship, but by whom?

Tue, June 30, 2009 - 3:53 AMI really admire Scott Seidman's work.
I had an exhibit space across from him at the 2006 Tom of Finland Erotic Art Fair, and was fascinated by his painting of a white centaur chasing a butterfly...very sinister but very beautiful and tragic.
He was selling the piece for a shockingly low price, and it was as finely-painted as any renaissance work, and better than many! I fantasied that I would buy it with my inheritance (which never materialized), keep it for a few years, and donate it to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.

Tue, June 30, 2009 - 9:53 AMI'm so curious now. I Googled like crazy only to find the Obama painting, and nearly nothing else. Same black screen for me a the site you mentioned. If any of you find a site, let me know.
