Hey guys, I just had a bit of delicious inspiration I thought I'd pass along this evening. Well, all week long I've had a massive craving for pumpkin [pie, bread, bars, whatever...]-- when by a striking coincidence my mum brought me over half a loaf of pumpkin bread! (SKORE!) But, I digress... I thought that a lovely way to honour the Horned God at Samhain-- in His aspect as "Dread Lord of Death" (albeit rather "esoteric" in symbolism) might be to bake phallic-shaped loaves of pumpkin bread! (There are penis-shaped cupcake tins, though they are a bit abstract for my taste; I wish I could find one shaped slightly more like the curved phallic cake tin I have!) After they're baked (perhaps with walnuts or raisins in the batter?) pipe them full with a cream cheese filling, and pour melted chocolate over them as a coating (if you're feeling decadent), or carrob (as a healthy substitute). Mmmmm... My mouths watering already-- I can't wait to give these a try! Of course *I* would have to chill them, regardless, cause I like filled treats (such as Ho Hos) cold!
