For several days we have been assaulted by really loud announcers letting us know that THE MONSTER TRUCK SHOW is coming to town.
What pisses me off is that children can go for $5. It costs twice that much to take a child to see the world famous Cleveland Orchestra, the Museum of Natural History, most local theaters. I think that's pathetic.

Fri, February 8, 2008 - 8:44 PMArgeed. %1000!
A small town, our 'You-see-ums" is comitunity sponsered and free to the cuiorious. An't nothing like it used to be, by what is?
By all means, take your young impressionable chidren to how total idiots entertain themselves. MONSTER TRUCK SHOW,
I think I've said enough to make my point.
I once ,on a dare, was part of a "Geeased Pig' contest.
That poor lil' thing was crazy and screaming while the crowd laughted.
Now, I'm a farmboy and we raised pigs and I got along with the brood sow, Susie Q. I was but a wee lad then and I remember snuggling up with a bunch of squirmy piglets next to this warm Mother who didn't care if I nosed around long as I got comfortable.
You ever be licked by a pig?
It's something I can't describe with words.

They still make Tinker-Toys, thank you very much and I still play with them. They are a major part of my Giftmas list.
I sent a set to my daughter and her buds in Iraq along with several other fun things. Pik-Up-Styx and such. And instructions on how to make, and set up, a World Confereance Hop-Scotch competition.
Silly shit, but they need silly shit, y'know?
Been there. -

Sat, February 9, 2008 - 1:37 PMWell, truth be told, I haven't adopted her YET, but the stuff is in the works.
It has to go through the Military channels and then - whatever.
But, emotionally, she's my Angie!
