Hey, great tribe

Hi all,
I just joined up, and I've been waiting forever to meet other gay scientists. There are so few of us it seems like. Well, esp. I feel it at work. If you live in NYC, message me!
On a totally different note, I'm thinking of going back to get my PhD , having finished my Masters in Chemistry last September. I wondered if anyone had any advice on this esp. from a LGBT standpoint. I know the haul is probably going to be longer for me than it was for the Masters, so I want to see how other's experiences were.
Anyone?
Thanks and thanks esp. for putting this tribe together.

    Welcome!

So far there are relatively few folks in this social chit-chat playground which is our GLBT Scientists, Tech, & SciStudents tribe, but there are many hundreds of LGBTIQ professionals on the NOGLSTP list-serve.

If you join NOGLSTP and post your question there with a description of your master's topic and interests for a dissertation area then you may receive much more feedback from folks in the chemical sciences and industrial applications than posting to this tribe alone will bring. Who knows, perhaps even an invitation for investigating a topic as part of the team of a doctoral committee chair.
