So after a few months of constant festival performances I have concluded that Vancouver is lame. Since Mile 36 is no more - trance - or at least trance festivals - are a thing of the past in Vancouver. There has not been a single festival this entire summer that has not required at least a 6 hour drive to get to - and even then it is not full on trance.. I took 3 boats to get to Diversity and there were only 3 scedualed trance DJs after 4 days of Reggae. It was a fun festival and I had a blast - but the point is - is there anything left for the full on Trance Dancers or do I have keep going to Montreal or Edmonton to get my fix? Entheos was fun as well - but no full on - and it was primarily a workshop venue... no music for at least half the party - so we could learn.... um.... stuff... Is there something I have missed or is the Vancouver scene over? Am I like a bad kickback to the 90's? Like those rockers who swear metal will never die, and perhaps it has.... perhaps.
