Black tent canopies with skulls, flames, chains, Betty Boop and Pirate emblems, a few black alternative designed body boards, maybe even a surf board? Perhaps a few black beach balls laying among the dreadful Rainbow Bright umbrellas… What a wonderful prospect to imagine.

A friend and I came up with a new word when we went to the beach one weekend. Gothers. Goths + Surfers (and any beach goer) and we want to see if there are any more of us out there....

Goth is no longer an assemblage of those that society does not accept (for the majority in my opinion). The preference has become just anther look, anther fashion movement that anther group does not understand and most often makes up their own ideals of what it is; which is almost always incorrect. However, one thing I have noticed is that we (people in general) tend to surround ourselves with the conformability of those that accept us and where we feel most comfortable yet avoid trying new things or places by not stepping outside the comfort zone.

This is a group for those who enjoy both the light and the darkness.
